" Parrot Tree Flowers " Tuesday Orange Color Challenge

in #colorchallenge7 years ago (edited)

These beautiful flowers called Palash Or Parrot Tree flowers are native to sub-tropical parts of Indian Subcontinent and SouthEast Asia ranging across India, Bangladesh,Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia and some other asian countries. Their shape closely resemble to the parrot's beak.

In India these were used to play holi with these flowers. They were used to make natural colors and were environmental friendly. People used to soak these flowers in the water for the whole night and in the morning all the water turned out to be orange.

With the invention of synthetic and chemicals, people forgot these flowers and stopped using these beautiful gifts. As it is the season of spring here in India, flowers are in full bloom and they really give a beautiful view. I have captured some of the beautiful shots of these trees with my Moto G5S Plus.
