It finally happened. For the first time in my life I bought manga. Berserk is the best manga I have ever read. I really wanted to own it but for a long time I was delaying buying it because it is quite expensive. It's author was creating this manga for more than 30 years and it is a true masterpiece. The art is stunning and the depth of characters and story is just marvelous. Berserk tells a story about friendship, love, betrayal and revenge. A story about a traveling swordsman named Guts and his bonds with a mighty Band of the Hawk. So far there are 14 deluxe edition volumes and I bought 5 of them. I really hope to buy more in the future but for now that seems too expensive. The 5 volumes I bought contains Black swordsman and Golden Age Arcs. It also has a beginning of Conviction arc. Sadly the author of Berserk died in 2021 and was not able to finish his masterpiece but his best friend is now continuing his work. I really hope that I will see the end of this brilliant manga. Also there are quite a few other manga I want to collect but it will depend on how well my financial situation will be. For the immediate future collecting all 14 Berserk deluxe volumes will be a challenge as well.
