How about this: A portal opens up in front of you, you don't know where it goes or how long it'll stay there, what do you do?

If it were me I'd jump in, I know that it's not very logical and that there are many dangerous outcomes but my curiosity would get the best of me. I know I'd regret it if I didn't enter it and just left it there, never knowing if I could have the chance to go through there again. I've always been curious about astronomy and I think that would be the closest thing to magic that I would ever get.
