That's why we have communities like this - so that we can trade ideas - even the ones we think are so obvious that we never thought of it!

Important passwords, info, I write down in a particular notebook as well.
I've heard it said that by the time someone has possession of your machine, it doesn't matter what else you've done (other than having another copy somewhere...)

I do have an old-fashioned notebook with important passwords myself. And a copy on an external backup drive. And I assume a lot will be in the cloud (Oh no, never thought of that before)

Having a hard drive physically in another area is another good option. I'm not too keen on the cloud though, but that's because both my dad and my husband have taught me a (hopefully) healthy level of paranoia.

Me neither. But I just realized I have set up some processes to automatically save docs in the cloud... should check on that

It’s a .txt-file, so probably worried about nothing - lol
