Today is the day I get my second booster. Went in for the first one about 3 weeks back and now it’s time to finish it up. I’m heading to the Burlington Mega Site near Cherry Hill, NJ for this and let me tell ya...these folks had the entire process flowing smoothly. Going for my first, I was in and out in about 40 minutes total and that includes the 15 minute sit down afterwards to make sure you don’t spontaneously combust.

It’s held in a now closed department store attached to a mall which was a bit strange to see. I’ve only been in those when they are packed with overpriced makeup and perfume counters, so it’s a bit jarring to see it emptied out while a pop up clinic invades.

I’m guessing it’s run by the National Guard as it was organized soldiers galore. Lots of roped off lines, ID checks, and folks waiting to do their part to try to put the pandemic in the rear view.

This JC Penny turned vaccination site was dishing out the Pfizer vaccine. I luckily had no reaction at all from the first shot so I’m hoping my luck will be the same after today’s 2nd dose. I have a long day at the shop tomorrow and the last thing I need is to feel like crud. Fingers crossed! 🤞

There has been no talk of anyone getting a vaccine where I live. Don't know what to think about that. I hope that it ends up being a good thing for all involved but I have my reservations.

As far as headaches are concerned, I've had one of those almost every day since 1998 but I suspect the booze might be a big part of this and is probably not related to a vaccine :P

Lol. Yeah the booze MIGHT have a part in that. Lol

Luckily in my neck of the woods it seems as there is a nice chunk of folks that are getting or are planning on getting it. I understand folks being weary though.

I'm hoping you get no reaction.

Luckily I feel great! Just a tiny sore arm that my buddy described perfectly as feeling like receiving birthday punches when you were a kid.

Sweeeet one! I had my first moderna last week and was kind of crackled by it for a couple of days but hell yeah. This will give awesome piece of mind and much better safety for me when treating patients (if mean for the patients)

Yeah, I just want to do my part and try to get my life back to some sort of normalcy as soon as possible. This is a big step. Plus...I want to start traveling again at some point and I will feel better having gotten this if I’m hopping on a plane (or cruise ship)

Good for you! I had my first AstraZeneca a while back, but I think it's at least 12 weeks between the shots, so I have another month until the second. I had it in a community college with lots of volunteers guiding us through. I know the military have been helping out at some testing locations. I felt a bit rough the day after that first one, but it seems to vary a lot between people.

Stay well!

Sweet!

Luckily I feel great. I loaded up on vitamin c, Tylenol, and a few other supplements prior to and after both shots and I feel fine outside of a tiny bit of soreness in the arm.

My arm was a little sore for a few days. I can live with that rather than getting properly sick. Heard some nasty tales of 'long COVID'.

I got my first shot last Thursday, it was the Moderna one. My arm was super sore, and I had a headache all day on Friday. It was worse than when I actually had COVID haha. I am not looking forward to the second shot around May 13th. haha

This sounds like my week exactly last week!

I'm getting my first dose tomorrow!!! Things are running a little slower in Ontario.

I got my 2nd shot Friday and felt awful Friday evening/Saturday but totally fine now.

ah consider yourself lucky, here in Spain we're way delayed with the shots
