El Salvadore is great news for Crypto but the problem with BTC as legal tender is that its not a very good medium of exchange - the TX fees are too high, there is doubt over whether LN can simply enable more and more money printing (maybe thats the idea?), but its just the beginning

Any chain that takes my money OFF of the main chain loses my trust. If the chain can't handle everything ON-chain, then I see no need to trust it, or ever use it. This is just one of the reasons why I like this Hive chain so much. Hive is doing THOUSANDS of transactions per second ON-chain, with FREE, 3 second blocks too. Not only that, but I might be able to start paying my maintenance fee every month with Hive. Transparency coins like Hive allow me to see exactly where the maintenance people are spending my money, so I know they are not just pocketing it. Transparency is also a good thing :)
The funny thing is, the economic fall to Venezuelan levels will happen just as Jeff said, and the people still won't blame the government. They'll believe their lies that they all tried their best but in the end it was the covaids that got us all. LOL We live among idiots.
Sad but true. It's the same with health care. Govt intervention drives up costs and reduces quality (in any market) but people still foolishly believe govt should have more or all control of health care.
