My strategy for Crownrend

in #crownrend15 days ago

First off, let me say, my goal is to have fun opening packs. With that in mind I set out to build a strat that would allow me to open ~10 packs per day @3000 denar per pack.

TLDR - Buy buildings and Ori to upgrade them. Focus on Toughness, trade, tax

All the information I'm about to lay out is just what I've learned from playing the game. I'm not part of the discord or anything so some of the information may be wrong or could be changed soon as the game is still in development.

With my goal being 30k denar per day, I know I need enough defense to prevent most attacks. The only way to do that is to stack enough Toughness to exclude most kingdoms from being able to target you. So, I started by buying buildings off the marketplace that all have Toughness as a stat. My secondary choices for stats were speed and leadership to further deter some would be attackers. But, keep reading, these priorities changed over time.

I've seen some of the top accounts saying they earn over 500k denar a day. So they probably aren't worried about me earning 30k a day and attacking probably isn't on their priority list so I wanted to break into the top 25 accounts.

My first big break was finding a Level 8 Mythical building with Toughness, Morale, Tax, and Trade as stats.
For those who don't know. When you get a building, you can upgrade the building. each level adds more of the stats based on the rarity. However you'll see that some stats benefit more from levels than others. From what I can tell, Trade, Tax, and Mine level get less per upgrade than other stats for the higher rarity buildings. Here are some examples

Common buildings cost .13 Ori to upgrade and add 1-3 of each stat to their values.
Uncommon building cost .22 Ori to upgrade and add 2-5
Rare buildings cost .52 Ori and add 7-12
Epic buildings cost .75 Ori and add 10-18
Legendary buildings cost 1 Ori and add 15-25
Mythical buildings add 20-35
Ancient buildings are 30-45
Divine buildings, do these even exist!?

I don't recall the costs to upgrade Ancient or Mythical at level 1. The costs slowly scale up with each level. I'm unaware if there is a cap for levels. I've seen up to level 16 on the market.

Here is the first Mythical I got off the market. It was a big purchase but I decided to make the plunge since it was already leveled up to level 8 I figured the Ori cost for that would make it worth it. I paid 150 hive for this beauty.

It wasn't until I got this building that I noticed how impactful the Tax and Trade power were with Trade power being significantly more impactful on your Denar production per hour than Tax but combined they multiply your production by many times the value.

As I gained more Toughness, I found less value in the Speed and Leadership stats. I rarely get attacked since there are currently only about 15 accounts in the game with more strength than I have Toughness. I decided I would focus on Toughness, tax, trade power. I'm now producing ~2500 denar per hour with my Vault only holding 6852. This means I only need about 2.5 hours to be maxed out. This allows me to be attacked and still max out every claim easily. Here is a breakdown of my income currently.

You'll see that between trade and tax it's multiplying my base income by an insane 167x making every level invested in my mine more profitable.

My trade power is currently 309 and my tax level is 735 making trade power a better stat overall per point. So, at this point and moving forward, I'm focusing on increasing my vault level trying to keep my denar per hour at about 1/2 of my vault size to account for any attacks stealing denar with the goal being to ignore the PVP aspect and just take advantage of the fewer number of players able to attack me a maximum of once per 4 hours. I'll be increasing vault and mine levels and trying to buy about 10 packs a day. I'll sell anything worth selling while burning for Ori anything of less value and upgrading the buildings I have with that.

Oh, and I almost forgot. I got this lucky pull after opening just 334 chests.

I may have used up all my luck early on this one. There is no toughness stat but the tax and trade stats added ~50% more to my denar per hour. I really can't understate how impactful those stats are to your production. Having the peace of mind to know that I don't have to worry about a bunch of attacks stealing all my denar right before a claim is amazing and even if one of the whales decides to target me, it doesn't take long at all to build up a valuable claim again.
