Its been a while since I was active on HIVE and the only HIVE I own is probably from the former fork. That being said, I do have some crypto I could use to buy HIVE on Bittrex but I've put most of that on staking or currently waiting for trades to be executed so out of the blue I thought to buy a bit of HIVE so I can power up and with that give better upvotes.
Now the current situation I'm seeing is that HIVE is more active and I find the posts more relevant if I compare those I see on SteemIt. I used to be a believer of steem but when that whole TRON acquisition happened I lost interest. Recently I got a bit of time which I wanted to catch up with the crypto space and that made me come back. At the moment my interest in crypto, economy, finance and maybe getting to know cool people had made me be willing to give HIVE/STEEM a second chance.
I formerly registered in block trades in 2017 and I was hoping to buy a few right away but I need to wait for they to review my documentation in order to buy. I also use blockchain.com where I could possibly buy some major crypto currency and then move it to Bittrex and then get HIVE but as you could probably know a better way I wanted to see what other ways to get HIVE easily currently exist.

I also used BlockTrades a few times in the past, but I also noticed in the previous few days that it asks us to upload papers to trade.
Technically you can deposit various cryptocurrencies to Hive Engine, and sell them for Hive.
Currently I do not know any other way to buy Hive.
