Around the World in Crypto 2018
Exciting times now we have entered halfway into February, after the December 2017 massive move in value on Bitcoin and many Cryptocurrencies. A well needed reversal from excessive highs has happened, where are we going now?

Everything happens for good reason (something I have been reminded of over the years), lets go back to 2008 when the start of Fiat currency around the world started to tumble, by 2013 Bitcoin was being more recognized and discussed, more more people started taking interest in blockchain technology.
An express highway out of Fiat Currency in Cryptocurrency was in the making.
People lost confidence in Fiat, some lost their homes, others lost businesses, sanctions being imposed on many countries, hardship and tightening economies happened in many countries around the world.
Distrust crept in, like a thief in the night, people started making the decision to use new technology in cryptocurrencies rather than investing into Fiat money.
Cryptocurrency offering interest where Fiat currency has stagnated, many have started making the move to cryptocurrencies, as was witnessed during December 2017.
Bitcoin for many is now out of there reach due to higher value, cryptocurrencies on the other hand, will lead the way forward enabling contracts, buying, selling moving with the right choice in coins. NB: Research before investing is the only path to follow.
"Logically" speaking bankers say they don't perceive Bitcoin as money, CoinMarketCap estimate the world's virtual currencies at aount USD $432 billion, is that not enough?
Yes coins big and small will encounter up's and downs, it is still very much an issue on how you treat information and news, some is reliable, as we know not always, investigate for yourself. Government's will get their taxes the minute your coins come back into Fiat currency exchanges.
Using smaller cryptocurrencies makes transfers cheaper, quicker and in many circumstances private. Exchanging these smaller coins for services or goods saves you time and money.
Golden opportunities do arise in crypto, it is recommended to start using smaller coins, once you have gained sufficient knowledge you may decide to slowly grow investing into larger value coins.
Deciding factor is not only on earnings, it is the knowledge, gaining that knowledge now, keeping up to date with new technology. The children now in their teens will not wait for old fashioned governments and bankers to make decisions for them, they are using Cryptocurrency daily.
Summary:-
Cryptocurrency is here to stay, whether governments declare local smaller donominations within their region, this technology has become embedded into our daily lives.
The very fact that you have used Fiat currency to purchase Crypto gives Crypto a value, not only in numbers but the fact that original Fiat currency was used in the purchase. (Unless bankers are saying their Fiat is worthless?).
Adopting new technology now will assist you going into the future. Fiat currency is fickle, Cryptocurrency is volatile! Fiat currency is Paper, Crypto is Zero's and One's.
Looking to start somewhere small, my choice is Superior Coin who are hard at work developing and introducing many new fields within the reach of ordinary people.

Oh for sure. Im no socialist but it seems to me that the easier a currency is to aquire added with its ability to meet your needs for goods and services the happier people are. Superior coin is great for that. Easy to use, earn, and now exchange, im looking forward to having a little something over time. But in all honesty, one day i think it will just be "the money", or maybe specific money for certain uses so there is high value and low value to use where needed and aquired by future ease of mining so anybody can get a piece.

Constant pump and dump of crypto is a real problem which is not with fiat currency and also the high price volatility even within 24hrs make us feel we paid high for something if we use crypto for daily payment needs. I think we need a crypto with less price volatility for daily use and definitely worth holding for long.
Even with pump and dump in crypto, those who built with a good plan, to make life easier will last, still very early days. With time hopefully it won't be quite this wild @dhaneshpk

I'm of the mind that fiat is on its last legs - and frankly I can't wait! Long live the blockchain :D
But anyway, yeah governments and banks are going to do their darnedest to hold onto fiat and kill cryptos, but people will be people - as the general population keeps learning about how easy, transparent, and cheap cryptos are to use, they'll just use them anyway.

By what I have been reading some governments want their own local crypto, not sure why since no matter where you spend (whether using crypto or fiat) they still get their taxes.
I am looking forward to seeing land, home, birth and death registers, medical and so many others things going onto the blockchain. Lost records due to fires in government buildings, voting in government, movement of spending, all these things should become more transparent.

Fiat is useless these days, but there are so MANY MANY new crytpcurrencies, which do you choose, and which do you pass?

Great stuff, @joanstewart. I think one of the interesting storylines this year will be whether another coin makes a run at Bitcoin for the top spot.
It will be interesting if that were to happen, my feeling is Bitcoin will remain as an 'asset class coin', the coin that jumps through all the 'trials and testing', the forerunner supported by great people.
