I have had an epiphany this evening that is quite profound. It really is a compilation of thoughts and feedback from people I respect and trust. One of the maxim's I have always mentioned here is that TAVI (The Academy of Vivid Imagination) is all about believing in yourself as well as pursuing your dreams, no matter how crazy others might think your thoughts or dreams may actually be.
I have always talked about being "Passionate About Your Dreams" and if you have followed me and read some of my posts (if not all of the few! :-) ), this is a quote I have posted on many pages and used as a comment. The philosophy has not changed, as much as following my passion (s).
I am totally committed to my first passion, which is my wife. Next is the passion of beer brewing. I have been brewing beer for 30+ years and I am an award winning brewer as well as a BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program, in the U.S.) as a Certified Competition Beer Judge. Although I have not judged in several months, I am still very passionate about the art and science of brewing.
This led to the love of cooking, especially of BBQ, not grilling, but low and slow BBQ. I am also an award winning cook and have won several awards in the Culinary Arts. I have also had the honor of leading my teams to these Culinary Awards and I was not in this by myself.
For years I have been told, "You need to open a restaurant." I don't believe in being pressured to pay someone who has no business infringing on my right to pursue my passions and line their pockets because they feel they are privileged to the labor of others. Why should I pay for permission to do what I love? Here is the revelation I had today.
I have talked to my friends and I'm mentioning it here for more feedback. My close friends, especially in the brewing arts know me as "Oz". With the knowledge I have gained on @steemit and Cryptocurrencies, I have been able to put together a Plan of Action that will allow me to accept what my friends have been prompting me to do for years, but also, how to do things on my terms without any interference from those that don't deserve a handout for their permission to pursue my passions.
I introduce to you, my @steemit family, my vision of a Pop-Up Event I call, Ah's Brew's and Que's. Our focus will be on 2 of my passions, Beer and BBQ. The focus will be on bringing fresh beers of all different beer styles and barbecue to those that have a passion for great beer and bbq. I don't need to say anymore as it is a great way to bring people together with great food and drink. There will be a recommended donation and I will accept Cryptocurrencies for donations to protect myself and my and those that choose to participate.
I am still working out the details to the Plan of Action and welcome any thoughts, or suggestions the community might have. Thank you for your attention and as always, "I'am Passionate About Your Dreams".
