Robert Herjavec of Shark Tank recently spoke about how Bitcoin is anonymous and is causing more attacks becuase, Bitcoin makes it so easy for Hackers to steal from you. Considering Robert has a technical background, I am sure he knows the answers to the questions below. Do you?

Is Bitcoin anonymous?

ANSWER:

Read what is unwritten and discover the truth by removing the lens of ignorance to see what is clear in a blurry piece of art. Learn to learn and learn to seek the truth on your own.

Cool, following you. Whats your current favorite coin/token?

Outside of the two I am releasing this year ZCash. Though I think BTCP will be the one which will be able to take the tech to the masses. Some stuff like SAFEX, DCN, are on my radar for utility and chances for explosive growth if they are legit.

I can't believe that anyone still thinks that Bitcoin is functionally anonymous. Sure, there are edge cases where you could never link an identify to a public wallet, but doing this still involves people, which I would argue are much less secure than technology and much more likely to get a criminal pinched. As data sources become more correlated through Big Data initiatives, and ironically through blockchain applications, it will be difficult to keeps Bitcoin wallet addresses disassociated to identities.

Yuuuup, the problem is that you have to cash out somewhere and even utilizing pseudonimity to it's Max leaves you with the problem cashing out or spending it.

Even achieving anonymity and unlinkability is very hard, not the intended purpose of Bitcoin. Your 100% right in terms of the act of hiding it will only single you out. It's like having a laptop running Tor on a public WiFi, there will be only one person using it.

Robert would have a very interesting opinion due to his computer security background. Even having a shark discuss bitcoin is big news for adoption. I don’t agree with him, but I value his opinion.

Never underestimate or fail to respect a smart person. He obviously knows it's not true and still should be listened too. His actions though should be questioned more aggressively though knowing he has done stuff like this.
