Introduction
Cryptoçurrency is a digital asset design to work as a medium of exchange using cryptography to secure the transactions and to control the creation of additional units of the currency.
Example of cryptocurrency are Bitcoin and another coin aka Altcoin (alternative coin).
Cryptocurrency is very popular today, because they're easy to use, they can send as value without third party such as bank, it mean that we can transfer value directly (P2P) instantly and very cheap.
Because they're very popular today, I try to introduce them to my friend, but when I introduce them, there is a variety of feedback, positive feedback which means they understand and are interested about cryptocurrency and negative feedback which means they reject the information I give and be skeptical about my topic.
Here are some of the negative feedback I've collected and the answers I've given.
Feedback #1
Cryptocurrency is just a digital coin, anyone can make then sell
Feedback #2
Cryptocurrency is just the engineering of a handful of people by boosting its popularity then taking advantage of those who are willing to buy
Feedback #3
If cryptocurrency is valuable why do not you make your own and sell it, surely you are rich now
Feedback #4
I believe more fiat money than cryptocurrency that no guarantee from anyone
Feedback #5
Cryptocurrency is only used for crime transactions, can not be applied for daily needs
Conclusion
Because they don't understand how cryptocurrency work, they judge likes they're know anything, that isn't problem.
This analogy likes you introduce social media on 90', everyone will laughing at you.
I have tried very hard to introduce to them the potential of cryptocurrency in the future, because they refuse me nor will I force, because in the future they will probably know it, only time can prove it
Note : I Will post the answer on next post
I think that the main problem is that most people don't understand how money itself works. Most people don't understand how Dollars or Euro work that they use every day - if they understood how fiat money works, they would no longer use it. How can we expect them to understand BitCoin?
I composed a beginner's guide explaining Bitcoin and the technology behind it. But first one has to explain money itself, otherwise they don't get it.
I also just wrote an article here on Steemit a few hours ago showing what happened in Greece not too long ago, and how BitCoin kept working when fiat failed:
Greece as an Example for the Power of BitCoin
Here people could clearly notice the difference between the Euro and BitCoin: While the Euro couldn't be accessed, and was being partially seized by the government, BitCoin was working fine. Welcome to the future...
Agree with you sir,
Most of people don't understand about fiat monet, they just using it but don't know they created and work
But their mindset still keep that money better than any other payment method,
Thank you for suggestion 😀
