A new era for Pi Network was ushered in today. The switch to dynamic base mining rate is a watershed moment, introducing the post-Pioneer phase.
Why I say post-Pioneer phase?
Because the era of generous mining rates for Pioneers who joined before and after the 10 million halving is over.
After the commencement of dynamic base mining rate, the base mining rate will be reduced from 0.098 to 0.024.
According to information shared by the Pi Core Team, "the systemwide base mining rate (B) will be reduced based on an estimated monthly supply limit where B stays constant for a month and declines every month".
