I've been trying to pull my coins off of poloniex for 5 days now. I'm beginning to suspect that they have possibly been hacked for a large portion of coins and they are trying to stall to recover coins thru fees. There is no reason for these excessive wait times unless Poloniex is literally 2 guys in Florida running this op from a basement. I personally will not be using their service after this and I would advise new users to consider alternative exchanges. Here is a long list of former exchanges going belly up

If you want to trade and(or) store value on safe place I can recommend you BitShares distributed exchange (DEX) which is unstoppable. It is pure blockchain, not a web site. Nobody can block withdrawal of you coins nor steal it.
