Power Ledger is an Australia based blockchain company that tries to revolutionize the market for renewable energy. The main focus is the creation of a transparent marketplace where people can p2p trade renewable energy resources without a middleman.
The peer-to-peer marketplace for renewable energy resources was the idea of Dr. Gemma Green who is also the co-founder of Power Ledger.
The idea of her is simple. The surplus energy that is created by commercial businesses or private individuals can be sold directly to the customer. On the p2p energy market sellers are completely free to sell their surplus energy to whoever thei want and at the price they choose.
The goal is to incentivise people to create renewable energy by letting them make easy profits trough the marketplace.

- Autonomous Asset (AA) Management (renewable energy assets with shared ownership)
- Carbon Trading (smartcontracts)
The reason why i have invested in Power Ledger:
- It's a completely new and unique idea on how to use blockchain technology
- The future of energy combined with blockchain technology becomes more distributed
- Australia has more than 1.44 million rooftop solar pv systems today (great potential)
- The Power Ledger Technology can be applied anywhere in the world
- Price is around ~17 cent right now, thats 2x the ICO price and still a steal
