The Newbie

I started as a ListNerd newbie opening, reading,
commenting and voting on mails.

The journey as a beginner has its learning curve and great posts from ListNerds, educating and sharing their achievements in CTP Tokens and ListNerd Tokens, have been encouraging and inspiring me to do more.

A Mail By @Bradleyarrow

I opened a mail on ListNerds and it was a post by @bradleyarrow, where he discussed about low voting on some mails, which he deduced to low voting power of some members who had low CTP Tokens in their wallets.

Inbox-ListNerds.jpg

To encourage more voting for mails, he was willing to give away 1000 CTP Tokens to 10 people ( 100 CTP Tokens each), who are willing to stake them, to increase their voting power when they read mails on ListNerds.

The Gift Of 100 CTP Tokens

He was true to his words, though I got in late, I was one of those luckily chosen by @bradleyarrow, and he gifted me 100 CTP tokens on ListNerds.

I was elated when I received the tokens, he made my day and as promised him, the CTP tokens were staked to increase my voting power on ListNerds.

Giving On Hive And ListNerds

On Hive and ListNerds, I have interacted with people, many who are willing to give different forms of support and help to assist me and others along the learning curve, one is my friend @readthisplease.

I am, many a time surprised by the numerous gesture of giving generally, this overwhelms me with gratitude.

The gift of CTP tokens from @bradleyarrow for me, reiterates in my life the importance of giving no matter how little, it goes a long way to bring positive change in another persons life and the world at large.

I promised him, I would pay it forward. Gratitude to all those who have been giving and spurring the newbies forward to greater heights.

My Question

My question is, what is the importance or benefits of giving in any form, from your experience on Hive, ListNerds and life generally?

I will be very glad to receive your comments. Thanks.

@gratitudemine! You Are Alive so I just staked 0.1 $ALIVE to your account on behalf of @flaxz.alive. (7/30)

The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want.

The benefits for me are the positive feelings I get of helping others. It could be looked at as selfish. I feel I get more mental reward from giving than others that I give to receive in monetary value.

It is also a human need to build community, and Hive is all about community. People sharing the same goals and ideas. Giving to build a stronger community thus making one's self stronger.

It is a win win in life. And there are not a lot of that.

Not to pat myself on the back but you where late in my giving, you where number 11. But I felt the need to keep giving when you requested 😀

@Bradleyarrow you are the inspiration for this post, your act of giving even when I was outside your advertised number, showed me you have a special heart of gold and I felt happy. It lead to me to the questions of wanting to learn more about the benefits of giving, so as to make it a part of my daily life, thank you.

Because this is such an awesome post, here is a BBH Tip for you. . Keep up the fantastic work

To me the answer is obvious. What you put out into the world comes back to you. Why not do good things and reap the benefits. There are no benefits to doing something bad or being selfish. Just bad Karma.
I acme from your List Nerds Mail.

Thank you @alente, I agree with you fully. I only wish so many people understands the law of Karma, the world will be a much better place, thanks.

Giving is at the CORE of the entire blockchain - we begin by being given upvotes and rewards and the initial motivation is gain. But after time, users quickly realize the real value of the blockchain and that's giving, both in the form of tips, upvotes, prizes, donations... or just because. Everyone is giving their precious time here to one another and that has intrinsic value all on it's own!

Whosoever came up with the idea of Giving as the CORE of the entire blockchain, has set something special in motion that translates into something beneficial in our personal lives, if practiced, just my take on it. Thanks.

I also received 100 tokens and it made me invest more CTP tokens into the platforms. The dilemma of not having enough votes is real. I want to reward people who put out good mail.

It is a big dilemma, one is willing to vote but lacks the capacity, and you are right, the situation encourages Listnerds to invest more to gain better footing in the platform, thanks @jfang003

Aaaaaay! Look at me making a special feature on this post lol!

Yeah, that is life for you, your name was at the right place at the right time, thanks

"Give and it shall be given unto you..." is not a bad way to live. !CTP

I like this, meaning for me, one must first be willing or choose to give, and life will return in kind always to that person . Thank you for the response.

Hi, I am completely new to this world in all kind of aspects. Blockchain, crypto, writing over all, posting, blogging or whatever. I have not even made my intruduction post yet lol. But to answer your question i believe giving in any form for a better purpose leading to improvement of quality and creativity is most likely allways good. This definately inspire people to continue with something they started and to continue struggle until they get going good by themselves. Thanks for bringing this up because i think it makes us remember the importance of caring of each other.

Thanks for the response.

I think the benefits of giving are that it can help somebody out who has a need and can help support your community. Having a strong and thriving community benefits everyone.

@mypathtofire, I agree fully with you, thanks.

The whole point is helping and giving to others. Thanks for sharing.
