Actually, humans can not eat grass. Vegans can eat ranch dressing as well, we can eat most things others eat just made with different ingredients. Five pounds of salad is obviously not necessary. It has been proven that the said daily protein intake set is inaccurate. Not to mention everybody’s body and systems are not the same. It’s great that you grow your own food, it cuts down the cost and intake of gmo.

Chives are a grass. Regular grass "might" mess up your stomach especially when you first try it. I wouldn't be surprised if humans could live off yard grass but it's never really been tried and not very practical in the short run. If you only ate salad all day with no dressing it seems like a big guy would need at least 5 pounds to get enough calories maybe even 10 pounds. A pound of regular lettuce is only 63 calories. If a human ate 20 pounds of lettuce in a day that would be like 1200 calories and 120 grams of protein. That does sound about right I guess other than the 20 pounds. lol

Thanks. Our food system will never be anywhere close to where I want it but hopefully my crops do well and hopefully yours do well and maybe someday I will be able to figure out how to get affordable shipments of amazing tropical foods. You could get a pet hen and give the eggs away. lol
