Omakase
Have you ever tried Omakase Lunch/Dinner?
Omakase is phrase in Japan meaning “I’ll leave it up to you “. In this case, customers ordering omakase style expects chef to decide their dishes according to their innovative and specialities.
This is one of the omakase dinners I went during my visit in Tokyo. This restaurant named Mikawa is located at 6 Chome-12-2 Roponggi, Minato Tokyo.
Delicious Tempura Uni
Japanese Ice Fish
Highlight of the dish will be the Japanese Ice Fish also known as Shirauo in Japanese. This fish is only available during spring.
Prawn Tempura with chef as background . Sitting at the counter bar enables us to watch and see how the chef cooks and cut and prepares the ingredient. Very amusing especially when u see how the chefs prepares their ingredients and how they cook it .
If you would like to visit the restaurant, please make a reservation to avoid disappointment because this place is always full due to their delicious food and superb food quality.
Thank you for reading.

Just came across your post from @jrvacation ;) We actually just got back from Narita from a long layover - well, only 15 hours, and we actually wanted to go try Omakase at Tokyo, but end up choosing to go over to the 100-year-old Unagi restaurant! The food looks good on your post, what is the name of the restaurant??
It’s Mikawa Restaurant at Roppongi . The address is stated at my blog if you want to visit the place .
I will keep that in mind! How much did it cost you in Yen?
Depends on the menu . Ranging 10,000 yen and up ...
These tempura look incredibly tasty. Love the picture of the sea urchin tempora, thanks for sharing!
