Those broad beans look so good and what a nice change for an omelette filling!
I know what you mean about cooking vegetables to death, cabbage especially used to be cooked till the entire house smelt of old cabbage! Fortunately my mom did not like overcooking her veggies, so we always enjoyed most veggies.

No market this week. It's pouring with rain...I plan, perhaps tomorrow, to try pickling some turnips...
