MAKING AN ACCOUNT

Use your Hive username to log into dCrops. I use keychain as my wallet. Once you login in, you'll get a confirmation request from whatever wallet you have installed.

If you don't have a Hive account, you'll need to make one. Just click, Create Account and select an account to create. For more information about Hive, click Here.

Free accounts do need to be verified before you can start using them. Keep that in mind when you go to sign in on dCrops.

MAKING YOUR FIRST PURCHASE

• LAND
  Before buying crops or packs make sure to purchase land. Without land you can't play the game even if you have crops already. Land cards currently come in 4 varieties, common, rare, epic, and legendary. You can find some land in the upcoming Beta release, however there's only legendary land available. For this reason, I'd suggest purchasing land from the market using either crop or swap.hive tokens. All of these varieties can also be found in Alpha packs.

• SEASON

  Before buying any crops make sure to know what season you're in, and how much time is left before the season ends. The current season is listed in the top right corner of the FARM page. There's a countdown of the current season also listed at the top of the QUESTS page.

It's important to know what season you're in as different crops can only be planted in certain seasons. If you purchase a crop card for Winter, but it's Spring, you'll have to wait over a month before you can actually plant anything. **Each season lasts 2 weeks.

There's 4 seasons in the game year. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.

• UNDERSTANDING CROP CARDS

Here we have a Tomato plant. The season it can be planted is Summer. It's an epic rarity, seed card. Selling each harvested tomato will get you 7 shares. There are 2 tomato crops harvested per seed, which take 3 days to produce. So 3 days after planting you'll get 2 tomatoes which you can either sell for a total of 14 shares or you can save. Or you can sell one for 7 shares and save the other. In this case, this card has a special ability which allows the seed to continue to produce even after you harvest it. Which means that once you harvest it after 3 days, you can wait another 3 days and get 2 more tomatoes!

Once Harvested, a screen similar to this will pop up. There's a chance to get 1, 2 or 3 star quality crops. Only 3 star crops contribute to your total CROP Power. You can read more in depth information about CROP Power here.

In addition to quality, you can see the share value of each crop. You have an option to sell the crops in your inventory page. Simply click sell on all crops you wish to sell and then click submit at the bottom of the page. Then you'll get a confirmation request from your wallet. Click accept or confirm and your crops will be sold and removed from your inventory.

Land cards have the number of plots on the land. Plots are where you plant your crops. So far, ONLY Alpha legendary land plots have 4 plots available. @Scriptkitty has confirmed that legendary Beta lands will only have 3 plots.

Each land has a chance for additional crops to be harvested. However only Hi-Tec Land gives 2 bonus crops. Every additional rarity also gives a higher bonus chance for the additional crops to be harvested. Again there's a bonus chance for higher quality crops to be harvested as well. Also every land rarity gives a different bonus quality chance.

You can plant different crops in any plot. It's up to the player to decide which crop to plant on which land. If you have a quest requiring higher quality crops, it may be beneficial to plant them on higher rarity lands.

BUYING PACKS

Buying packs has been made super simple and easy. Total cost is offered for those who struggle figuring out the conversions of different cryptos. You can select how many packs you wish to buy, however there are bonus packs given for free to people purchasing 100, 500 or 2000 packs at one time. Packs can be purchased using Hive, Swap.Hive, Swap.BUSD, CROP, or HBD. Currently CROP tokens are locked in at 3000 Crop per pack despite the value of 3000 crop being a little more than the 3 USD price point for packs.

Because we're in presale, packs are currently discounted. With CROP being discounted 15% and all other currencies are discounted by 10%. Hive can be purchased directly from Hive Keychain, or you can go on a conversion hunt using other cryptos on the HIVE blockchain to swap into the accepted currency of your choice.

Currently only Beta packs are available directly from the dCrops site. But Alpha packs can be purchased from third party sellers like Tribaldex. You can learn more about the Beta release here.

QUESTS

At the start of a new season, you have an option to accept a new quest. If you haven't completed all the quests for the season, you don't have to accept a new quest until you do. New quests will usually follow the season you're in. However if it doesn't, you have an option to Reroll the quest. Rerolling a quest costs a small amount of crop but can be well worth it if you can't complete it easily.

Here I have completed 3 quests already. I have just under 8 days to complete the rest. I can choose to reroll the quests in an attempt to get an easier one that I can complete immediately, or I can wait until I have the crops needed to complete the quests. Completing quests quickly is one reason to save crops you've harvested.

QUEST REWARDS & BOOSTERS

Completing quests will net quest rewards. The amount of rewards is based on your overall CROP Power. The higher your CROP Power, the higher the amount of rewards you'll get. Keep in mind though, you'll only get rewards if you complete all of the quests for the season.

Rewards include Reward cards. Which are resources that will be used in crafting once Beta has been released August 25th, 2022. Reward cards are rare, and even still have a rarity assigned to them as well. The more common quest rewards are the boosters which are also available for purchase in the shop for CROP tokens. Boosters are consumed upon use and cannot be traded or sold. Nor do they count towards CROP Power, while Reward cards do.

HOLDING REWARDS

Holding rewards are pretty straight forward. Simply earn HIVE by holding dCrop assets such as cards, packs, CROP tokens and 3 star crops. All these things contribute to your total CROP Power. The Easiest way to accumulate CROP Power is simply by buying CROP tokens as they offer a 1 to 1 ratio. You must have a minimum of 20,000 Total CROP Power before you can start earning Holding Rewards.
