Before I watch Tucker Carlson do a Trump and hone in on a piece of that heroic limelight that exclusively belongs to Kyle Rittenhouse I thought I'd take a few months and use Tuckers own words as to why he can't find his own glory to bask in. Last Friday night in his opening monologue Carlson said this about the verdict in the case:
Imagine being a juror on that case. Imagine the pressure and the fear. It would take enormous moral courage for any juror to ignore the threats and follow the evidence to it's logical conclusion. So much courage that at times we even thought it was impossible in a country as politized as ours is. But as we learn today it is still possible thank god. This afternoon the jury acquitted Kyle on all charges that confirmed what was obvious from the very beginning, he acted in self defense. It was a wonderful moment. Anyone who believes in impartial justice was vindicated.
Imagine the moral courage it took a seventeen year old kid to do that which the vast majority of American men lacked, that was to go out and help people living in fear of having their lives totally destroyed by a raging mob of rioters, looters and arsonist. Carlson didn't put any emphasis on that during his monologue. Maybe because he'd have to confront his own own lack of moral courage to think outside the box.
When he spoke those words I couldn't help but think of the millions of people across the globe who are living in the fear of the unknown of the effects covid could have upon their families, friends and fellow neighbors. Being denied early treatment protocols and their own prospects being a vaccine whose technology has never been proven and thus far has led to mounting injuries and deaths across the globe in it's one shoe fit's all approach to it's administration.
In our heavily politized environment of push the vaccine or be destroyed I really would like to assume it's a lack of moral courage on the part of Tucker, Hannity and even Ingraham to speak out on the vaccine injuries and deaths but one cannot just naturally assume there is no other financial incentives of investment since that seems to be the status quo of many others including governments across the globe.
The imperative lack though of a moral conscience not to latch onto to someone else's courageous moments to engage in a conversation that the tide is turning, that we are getting back something thought lost while ignoring thousands who lay injured and dying from a vaccine, that itself pals in comparison to what happened that night in Kenosha and is beyond any question of a moral compass and is horrendous behavior at best. There is no such thing as winning when losing unless of course you are incased in your own little box of fear to afraid to be a Kyle Rittenhouse and do the right thing.
