Endlich Frühling - endlich wieder Radfahren // Spring at last - finally cycling again

Heute ließ sich endlich die Sonne mal wieder sehen und was bietet sich dann mehr an als endlich mal wieder für eine Tour auf's Rad zu steigen? Ok, ich bin in den letzten Tagen schon wieder zur Arbeit gefahren, aber das ist natürlich etwas anderes als entspannt eine Runde durch die Gegend zu radeln.

Erst wollte ich nur eine kleine Runde ganz entspannt am Kanal entlang fahren. Dann dachte ich aber, dass mir das irgendwie zu wenig ist und so packte ich noch die Kamera ein und steuerte den Stodthagener Wald und das Moor an, um dort auch noch ein wenig spazieren zu gehen und zu schauen, ob ich etwas zum Fotografieren entdecken kann.

Today the sun could finally be seen again and what could be more interesting than finally getting on your bike again for a tour? Ok, I went to work again in the last days, but that's of course something else than a relaxed ride around the area.

First I just wanted to do a small lap along the canal. But then I thought that this was somehow too short for me and so I packed up my camera and headed for the Stodthagen forest and the marsh to go for a walk there and see if I could find something to photograph.

Gleich zu Beginn begrüßten mich einige Buschwindröschen und Sumpfdotterblumen. Ansonsten sah ich allerdings relativ wenige blühende Pflanzen. Die Bäumen und Sträucher zeigten aber bereits erstes Grün.

Right at the beginning some anemones and marsh marigolds greeted me. Otherwise, however, I saw relatively few flowering plants. The trees and bushes were already green.

Ich hatte mich dieses Mal dazu entschieden zuerst durch's Moor zu gehen und dann durch den angrenzenden Naturwald. Bei meinem letzten Besuch im Herbst bin ich erst durch den Wald und stand dann plötzlich im Moor. :D

This time I had decided to go first through the moor and then through the adjacent natural forest. At my last visit in autumn I first went through the forest and then suddenly stood in the moor. :D

Das Naturschutzgebiet ist ein recht beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Spaziergänger und Leute, die mit ihrem Hund Gassi gehen. Aber der Wald ist auch nicht überlaufen und so ist man eigentlich größtenteils alleine und in Ruhe unterwegs, was ich als total angenehm empfinde. Ich mag es unheimlich gerne, durch den Wald zu gehen und das Zwitschern der Vögel zu hören. Einen Specht habe ich auch Klopfen gehört, kurzzeitig auch einen gesehen aber da liefen gerade Leute hinter mir, so dass er schnell wieder weggeflogen war. :( Später habe ich nochmal einen gesehen und mich kurz mit einem jungen Mann unterhalten, der ihn fotografierte. Ich hatte mal wieder das falsche Objektiv auf der Kamera aber um nicht weiter zu stören, wollte ich es jetzt nicht wechseln. So bin ich ohne Bild eines Buntspechtes nach Hause gekommen. Aber ich hab mich mega gefreut, dass ich mindestens einen gesehen habe. Buntspechte sind auch so extrem selten geworden.

The nature reserve is a very popular destination for walkers and people who walk their dog. But the forest is also not overcrowded and so one is actually mostly alone and in peace on the way, which I feel as totally pleasant. I really like to walk through the forest and hear the chirping of the birds. I also heard a woodpecker knocking, I saw one for a short time, but people were running behind me, so that it had quickly flown away again. Later I saw one again and had a short talk with a young man who took a picture of him. I had the wrong lens on the camera again but I didn't want to change it. So I came home without a picture of a spotted woodpecker. But I was mega happy that I saw at least one. Pivert woodpeckers have also become so extremely rare.

Ich stapfte also im Moor so vor mich hin - die Wege sind wirklich gut und fest, an manchen Stellen etwas matschig und feucht. Aber das ist nicht weiter schlimm, diese Stellen kann man ganz gut umgehen. Aber plötzlich bekam ich nasse Füße, der Weg war hier allerdings auch nicht mehr ganz so gut zu erkennen und mit Gras bedeckt. Ich dachte mir "Na gut, das ist jetzt halt mal so ne Stelle, gleich wird's wieder besser und du hast festen Boden unter den Füßen." Aber Pustekuchen! Es blieb ein paar Meter so feucht. Stehen bleiben und in Ruhe schauen, wohin man treten konnte, ging auch nicht so richtig. Irgendwie war alles feucht. Also hab ich versucht so schnell wie möglich da rauszukommen - ohne mit der Kamera in der Hand in den Matsch zu fallen... :D

So I stomped along in the moor - the paths are really good and firm, in some places a little muddy and damp. But that's not too bad, these places can be easily avoided. But suddenly I got wet feet, but the way was not so good here anymore and covered with grass. I thought to myself, "Well, that's just a spot, it'll get better in a minute and you have solid ground under your feet". But no! It remained a few meters so damp. To stop and look around, where one could step, wasn't possible. Somehow everything was wet. So I tried to get out as fast as possible - without falling into the mud with the camera in my hand... :D

Zum Glück schien die Sonne und es war angenehm warm. Also lief ich noch ein wenig im Wald herum und schaute mich um. So richtig Spaß brachte das mit nassen Schuhen allerdings irgendwie auch nicht. Also machte ich mich auf den Rückweg. Immerhin musste ich auch noch knapp ne Stunde zurück radeln. Und das war echt nicht so angenehm, da die Füße durch den Fahrtwind doch recht abkühlten. Als ich endlich zuhause war, machte ich mir gleich ein heißes Fußbad und Tee. Und anschließend hab ich die Füße in zwei paar dicke Socken gesteckt....

Fortunately the sun was shining and it was pleasantly warm. So I walked around in the forest and looked around. But it wasn't really fun with wet shoes. So I made myself on the way back. At least I had to cycle back an hour. And that was really not so pleasant, because the feet cooled down by the wind. When I was finally at home, I made myself a hot foot bath and tea. And afterwards I put the feet in two pair of thick socks....

Nichtsdestotrotz hat sich der Ausflug hierhin mal wieder gelohnt und der Spaziergang und die Radtour haben richtig gut getan. Wer mal hier im Norden ist, dem kann ich einen Besuch im Kaltenhofer Moor und den angrenzenden Naturwald nur empfehlen!

Nevertheless, the trip here was worth it again and the walk and the bike tour were really good. If you are here in the north, I can only recommend a visit to the Kaltenhofer Moor and the adjacent natural forest!

Zum Schluss noch eine kleine Übersicht zur Radtour an sich. Den ca. 90 minütigen Spaziergang habe ich nicht getrackt.
