RE: Bartle’s Taxonomy - from MUD to Hive

in #development9 days ago

I'm not a dev, but I'll chime in.

I don't look for drama, but drama seems to find me. Prime example: the spammer in your comments who seems to think I'm part of some conspiracy, but cannot comprehend that downvotes are a natural response to his spam.

I do focus on staking HIVE, but that is not my primary goal here.

I like finding new accounts to follow and authors with whom I can engage, but I admit some frustration in winnowing wheat from chaff. If a dev developed a Hive app to suggest new users based on metrics like mutual follows and shared post tags, that might be neat. I don't want a Web2-style algorithm to curate my feed, but a "hey, this might interest you specifically" tab on PeakD or even a separate site might be useful.

Mainly, I follow a few accounts and chat with specific bloggers these days. Am I in a bit of a rut? Maybe. See above. But it's a comfortable rut.
