Hello all I’m new to Hive & crypto in general. Here is an article I wrote with some pictures that I took myself. I am an avid nature lover & would like to share this love with others.
Experiencing God Through Nature
I feel like experiencing God through nature is like stepping into a real life painting, a sacred space where the Divine is painted in the hues of the sky, whispered in the rustling of leaves, and carved into the mountains. I feel that nature isn’t just a backdrop for human existence; it is a profound invitation to encounter the Creator in ways that words and rituals alone cannot capture. To truly experience God through nature is to allow the world around you to become a doorway to the Divine, as unique and personal as your own heartbeat. Here are some things I do to feel this intimate connection:
Become a Silent Witness to the Divine
I like to step outside, not with a plan, but with a sense of wonder, walking into nature not to conquer it, but to witness it, as one might sit in the presence of an ancient wisdom keeper. I like to find a quiet place, perhaps a meadow at dawn or beside a quiet river, and simply be in the present moment. No thinking, no analyzing just observing all that I see and feel. The colors, the sounds, the shapes. The wind whispering through the trees. The play of light on a leaf. In this stillness, God speaks through creation's unspoken language. Each moment becomes a delicate communion.
Listen to the Song of Creation
Every breeze to me is a note, every bird’s song a melody, every rustle of leaves a chord in a cosmic symphony. I think nature sings to those who listen, like becoming attuned to the symphony of life. I really like to close my eyes for a moment and feel the rhythm beneath the earth, the subtle heartbeat of creation itself. This music doesn’t need to be understood; it only needs to be felt. When listening, I know that each note is a message, a reflection of God's harmony and order.
Embrace the Wonderful Beauty of Life
Nature’s impermanence is a direct invitation to experience God. A flower blossoms and fades, the seasons cycle, and the sky shifts, reminding us that nothing stays the same. This constant change mirrors our own journey of transformation. Reflect on how each moment in nature, whether a dew-laden spiderweb or a sunset that vanishes within minutes, becomes a prayer. In these moments, God shows us how beauty can exist even in fleeting things, inviting us to surrender to the mystery of life’s transient nature.
Feel God’s Imprint in the Earth Beneath You
When I sit on the ground and press my palms into the earth. I can feel the warmth of the soil, the pulse of life beneath my fingertips. In that moment, I try to remember that I’m not separate from earth. It is a living, breathing entity that God has created and entrusted to us. In this connection, my spirit is drawn closer to God, rooted in the same soil that nourishes the trees, the flowers, the animals, and all of us. The earth hums with the presence of the Creator, and in that hum, we are invited to rest.
Every Creature Teaches Us
Every living thing in nature carries a fragment of divine wisdom. From the smallest ant to the soaring eagle, each creature has been designed with purpose. Observe how a bird builds its nest or how a squirrel gathers food. There is a quiet, natural rhythm in these acts, a surrender to instinct, a trust in God’s provision. I like to reflect on how even the humblest creature can teach us something about divine trust, faithfulness, and purpose. You, too, are part of this intricate web of life, and you are seen, known, and loved by God.
I invite you to Marvel at God’s Infinite Creativity
When you gaze at the stars or contemplate the complexity of a flower, pause. These are not random accidents. They are deliberate expressions of divine creativity, each one designed with intentional beauty and purpose. Let each tree, each mountain, each river, and each blade of grass be a reminder that God’s creativity is boundless. He is the Creator who has crafted every detail of this world and all worlds with care, leaving fingerprints of His presence everywhere you look. When you see this, your heart naturally fills with awe and worship.
Seek the Divine in the Quiet Solitude
Sometimes God speaks in the still, the silent, the alone. Take time to find solitude in nature, a hidden cove, a quiet corner of the woods, or atop a quiet hill. Let go of all distractions. In the silence, listen for the small, still voice of God that often speaks louder than any thunder or storm. Nature’s quietness is not emptiness; it is a space where God waits to meet you. In that space, you are invited to surrender your hurried thoughts and simply be present with God.
See God’s Love in Every Detail
Look closely at the smallest parts of nature: a dewdrop on a petal, the intricate pattern of a leaf, the veins in a stone. God has placed His love in the smallest of details. These tiny, delicate pieces of creation are like love letters from God, written just for you. They are a reminder that God’s attention to detail is profound. You are part of this intricate design, and you, too, are loved with the same tenderness with which God created these things.
Engage in Sacred Reflection
Nature isn’t just a place to escape, it’s a place to reflect. Take time to ask deeper questions as you walk through a forest or stand by the ocean. What is God teaching you through this experience? How does the vastness of the sky reflect His infinity? How does the deep calm of the river echo His peace? Allow nature to become a mirror for your soul. It’s in these moments of sacred reflection that God often reveals hidden truths, about yourself, about the world, and about His heart.
Let Your Spirit Flow Like a River
Like a river carving its way through the land, let your soul flow freely in nature’s presence. Don't rush; let the current of life carry you gently. As the river flows, so too does God’s love flow through all creation. Each twist and turn of the river, each bend and eddy, reminds us that we, too, are being carried along by a force greater than ourselves. In nature, you can feel the movement of God’s love, constantly flowing, never stagnant, always making its way toward you.
Witness God’s Presence in the Sun and the Storm
The sun rises every day, and the storms come and go, both are acts of divine will. When the sun breaks through the clouds, it’s as if God is revealing His love to the world, illuminating the beauty of the earth. When the storm comes, it reminds us of God’s power, His cleansing, and His sovereignty over all things. Both the sun and the storm are God’s way of showing His presence in the world. Whether in calm or in chaos, you can feel God’s presence. I’ve always thought that a beautiful day is even more beautiful after a storm. I hope you will see God's beauty, especially after a stormy period of life.
Trust in God’s Timing, Like Nature Does
Nature never rushes, yet everything gets done. The seed doesn’t hurry to become a tree, the flower doesn’t rush to bloom, the river doesn’t race to the sea. Nature knows that all things are set to a divine rhythm and perfect timing. Trust that God is working in your life in the same way. You don’t have to force things; you simply need to trust that, in His time, you will bloom, you will grow, and you will flourish as part of His creation.
In the end, experiencing God through nature is not a one-time event or a fleeting moment. It’s an ongoing invitation to witness the sacred in every leaf, every cloud, every animal, and every breath you take. Nature is a living testament to God’s love, power, and creativity, and it invites you to enter into an intimate relationship with the Divine. When you see nature as a direct reflection of God’s heart, every walk outside becomes a holy encounter, and every moment becomes a reminder of God’s presence all around you. Though we can not know God in His unimaginable essence, we can & do know Him through His Divine energies & the brilliance of His creation all around us.
The best of luck here on this amazing platform. This is a very nice first post. No paths and no evidence of human interference near your forest area. Untouched is the best way to see it.
I am a plant lover and I can see God's creative genius in turning dirt into fruit of every kind.
