Hello my friends especially my fellow pinoys, I had a fun day today doing another DIY project I made some flags. Look at the picture above although this is not yet finished.
These flags are for our country, and I made them to help decorate my grandparents' house our country's Independence Day is coming soon, on June 12 and there will be a family gathering and food.
Just like my paper garland, I made these flags from things we usually throw away. I used empty carton boxes. I picked the white boxes because it's easier for the paint to show up bright and clear Then, I used bright red paint and blue paint to color the flags. They look so nice
And for the stick part of the flag, I used BBQ sticks that were already used it’s really good to use old things again, right? We can make new things without buying too much.
This is how I made them:
First, I did not make a straight flag. I cut the paper flag shape to be a bit wavy at the end, like a flag blowing in the wind
Next, I took a BBQ stick and put it on one side of my paper flag. I used tape to hold it. I also rolled the paper a little bit around the stick. This makes it look like a real flag on a pole
After that, I painted the top part of the flag blue and the bottom part red. That is the right placement of the colors IYKYK
These small flags on sticks are very good for decorating you can put the sticks in many places to make things look festive and happy. Like in plant pots, or in soft things, or in the middle of a table.
I still need to add the yellow sun in the middle and the three small yellow stars. I will do that later when I have more time. But even now, they look so good
It's really nice to make special decorations from simple things we recycle. I hope you like my new project What do you think?
