Wow, after all these years I just learned the birthplace of the most value for money motorcycle gear business. One day I have to reach that North end of Germany, I've heard only nice comments about your home town (though winter must be penetratingly humid and cold). Louis ships around Europe and they have a handy site with good customer support. They messed up a bit in my case though. I ordered that dry roll bag you see with another 4 smaller bags (same as the green ones on the bike but different colour). Though their site showed enough availability I get an email a few days later telling me that they didn't have enough stock so they just shipped the big black dry roll. Without even asking me! SO I told them "are you serious? who on earth would like to proceed with this order since now the shipping costs more than the bag you sent me!" Long story short, I asked them to refund the shipping costs and they did. In the same email I asked them if they had those bags in any of the other colours so that they'd give me the chance to choose. They probably passed it and just told me "sorry , availability is not ebough". A couple of days later I thought "let's check those bags again" cause I couldn't find them cheaper ANYWHERE on earth, even considering their shipping cost (which is the same regardless the order). So I saw that they still listed them in this oilve green and army green and I proceeded with the order hoping this time I'll be luckier and as you see I was. Moral of the story, dear Louis employees, read your clients's responses more carefully, saves time for them and money for your company :)
I bought a few things from their store in Tilburg Netherlands. Their prices are hard to beat. BTW, now they have those green bags for just 10 euros each! They really wanna end their stock. I got them for 12 or so.

Haha, sounds a bit of an ordeal! Well, I guess that is distant selling for you..
I used their shop obviously when I lived there and had a motorbike.
They must be really cheap I suppose and with it all being Europe it makes it simpler as well, which is great.
The island here has become that again, an island.. and, yes, I am a European at heart..

Hamburg can get nippy around the New Year but it really isn't that bad anymore, however, it might be for you who gets all the sunshine where you normally are.. lol
It sure is worth a visit and you should go some time!
Don't forget to pop into Louis when you do! 😄

If you do go you might like this:

I can't find the date for next year, but this one was in June..

Wow that's huge crowd of bikers. Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea the largest event of this kind takes place there. Probably because I am not super fan of such events :) Though I guess they must be much more civilised than the ones taking place in the South of our lovely continent.

Very civilised as far as bikers can be.. 🤣

Haha, right. Such events in Greece became at some point unbearable even for the organisers themselves. Never attended any, never belonged in any club. I guess I'm a rare case of a person with low needs in belonging somewhere :) People are even caught by surprise for the fact that I am looking forward to the electric future of bikes. They go like "really? won't you miss the vroom vroom?" And I'm like "I prefer to not miss my sleep because of the other's vroom vroom". Our cities will become such a much better place to be and people don't even think about it or weight it at all.

refer to not miss my sleep because of the other's vroom vroom

I LOOOVE that! I'm the same! I hate it when people leave their cars or machines idling.. waiting for someone or having their breakfast in the car.. 😄
Bring on electric any day!!

They are pretty good at that event.. it was started by a vicar in the 80s who looked after the motorbike police force and wanted to bring people together; it's a bit of a tradition now and well loved by all.
I should think it's VERY civilised still, I haven't been for many years but I'd like to go again myself one day..

You'll find a lot of mature Harley riders there who wear fine clothes and such and are not the type to punch others.. haha

Oh, idling vehicles...how stupid is this right? With the fuel at 2euros/lt and all the awareness about emissions etc people still don't even bother.
I guess I have to bookmark that event. How bad can it be after all :) Thanks again for that!

If you want it warm up there then I suggest the summer months anyhow..
Have a lovely evening!
