Tips for nursery media so as not to spend a lot of capital at the beginning is to use used foam sofas, former motorcycle seats, car seats, or mattresses.
The texture of the foam that is still in good condition and not moldy is ensured that it can be processed into nursery media, in choosing foam, make sure the foam is dry and not moldy, this is to maximize the results of the nursery that we will make.
In developing my farming business, I use used materials to be maximized. like what I did, here I use used sofa foam which I got at a furniture service place, usually they don't use this kind of foam, it even becomes garbage if left alone.
But with the understanding I have, I become a collector of the foam and I use it as a substitute for Rockwool
By utilizing this used foam, I have also become a rockwool craftsman and some beginner hydroponic farmers buy rockwool from me. I set the price with a package system.
For example :
Package 1 which contains 40 Rockwool media is priced at IDR 10,000 or 0.7 $
Package 2 which contains 100 Media Rockwool, I have a price tag of IDR 25,000 or 1.8 $
The price I have listed is the price for mutual assistance between hydroponic farmers.
So by utilizing unused foam we can process it into Rockwool, you can use it for your agriculture and also as a source of income.
