Libra Isn't a Cryptocurrency. It's a Glimpse of a New Asset Class - CoinDesk

Originating from an association so attached to the topic of personality (regardless of whether genuine or not), it is amazing that Facebook's Libra coin appears to be befuddled about its own.

The association has marked Libra "a stable worldwide digital money," and the name "cryptographic money" has been imitated by media around the globe. However Libra isn't a cryptographic money.

Try not to misunderstand me – those of us in the area welcome the worldwide consideration given to the idea since the declaration.

Yet, for this situation the definition matters past semantics: it will influence inevitable use cases and administrative treatment. It could likewise change how speculators see both stablecoins and blockchain-based protections going ahead.
