Former Manchester United defender Jonathan Spector says that Cristiano Ronaldo was a "frustrating" player during his initial days at Manchester United, but credited the Portugal star for growing into a player widely considered to be the best in the world.

Even in CR's game today, it is obvious that he struggled at the start of his career. Compared to players like Messi, Ronaldinho, you can see that Ronaldo must have had to refine his touches both ball control and passes. For some it comes naturally. Players like Andres Iniesta have those touches naturally.

Also for players with the pace and flamboyance of CR, they will certainly need to do some refining with regards to managing their pace and knowing when to be flamboyant or direct.

CR certainly did much fine tuning throughout his career becoming more potent in front of goal as years went by
