Since 2015, China government started a plan of massive investment in Industrial robot with the goal to be the leader within 10 years. Robots industries are dominate by USA, JAPAN, GERMANY, SOUTH KOREA, but it's just a question of time for CHINA to be the first!

Nowaday, CHINA is ranked number 1 in sales for industrial robots (USA is ranked Number 4), but a gap of technology exist between chinese and foreign company robots. This gap will be cover by massive investment to acquire knowledge and intellectual properties from foreign company (Last year MIDEA bought the giant german company KUKA).
In 2017 Chinese got 49 robots in operation for every 10,000 employees, but his plan is to get 150 robots in operation for every 10,000 employees by 2020 (south korea is the actual leader with 531 robots in operation for every 10,000 employees).
To achieve this target, chinese government sponsor mainland robot factories in R&D and productions, and encourage Chinese company to buy robots from local companies.
