Don’t let the graffiti fool you. They’re all bark, no bite

Dogs the adorable domestic pet beloved by millions. The dog is one of the most popular pets in the world -- it is, of course, commonly referred to as “man’s best friend.” Dogs are also often employed as service animals and emotional support animals. Famous internet dogs include Marnie, Boo, Tuna, Toast, Manny the Frenchie, and Doug the Pug. An extensive and nuanced lexicon has developed around online dog content, including the bizarre terms "doggo," "pepper, "mem," and "bork." The American Kennel Club (AKC) currently recognizes 190 dog breeds. Many pedigreed dogs compete in dog shows around the world, including the iconic Purina National Dog Show, which airs on television each year directly following the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Recent Best in Show winners have been Newton the Brussels Griffon, Gia the greyhound, and Charlie the Skye Terrier. In the United States, National Dog Day is celebrated on August 26.
