Tesla Q2 Results: red or black?
Tesla is a company some people love and others love to hate it.
Some say its the best car around, others say its a complete fraud.
A favorite focus point are the quarterly numbers.
Fans say: of course the numbers are negative, because it is a manufacturing company that is growing at a rapid clip.
Foes say: it has terrible unit economics and loses money.

I'm short on Tesla, but long term. Volkswagen anounced today it will invest 44 Billions of euros (!) in electric and automated cars in 5 years... IMHO capital rich competitors will kill Tesla slowly. Tesla could be a small niche company in the future.
