At least ! After some very busy days, I found some time to go on with my drawings for my story.
You will have to wait for the story to know why, but this time the illustration is the inside of a house, in an old style.
Let's start with a raw drawing with pencil, from different models to find the different elements, that I add in the same drawing.
It's time for ink : a lots of work, because a lots of details ! And this time I want to give some textures to the different materials, especially the wood.
Done ! Now the best part, the colors !^^
It will be with brown as dominant color, since most of the elements of this interior is made of wood. So the challenge is to find enough shade of brown (from "yellow-brown" to "purple-brown").
The other challenge is to deal with all the details ! A lots of work to do !^^
The plan is of course to start with large areas, and then step by step to little details and shadowing.
And here is our illustration done ! See you soon to know what happens in the story...
Beautiful, @djacbaweur <3 Love the step by step presentation so much <3 The way you establish the sketch, ink and colour are just absolutely delightful <3 I love this piece very much * ___ *
Looking forward to the story :D
Thank youuu ! ^^ I'm proud of this one, with all these details to do !
What a great illustration, Djac. Just gorgeous. I love looking at the step by step pictures, little by little, the colours make it more and more alive, until at the end it makes an elegant artworks. I really like looking at the lighting at the floor and the subtle shadow of the room versus the more contrasting shadow of the stairs. Very lovely.
Congratulations for another curie vote, you definitely deserve it for this gorgeous artworks :).
Thank you so much @scrawly, the curie vote is always impressive ! :)

Great illustration! I love how you established the lights and shadows. Your style gives me the vintage illustrations vibe, the ones you see in old fairytale books. I love it! <3
In fact old fairytale it's a little bit the idea, since the story I tell with these drawings takes place in a fantasy world ! Thanks for your comment !

I thank very much all the Curie community to chose my post ! It's very precious to see my work appreciated and shared this way. :)
Oh boy!
What a draw?!
Its quite easy to see but to draw what we see needs much visualization, creativeness and imagination.
You've made it Djac!
I'm eager to read your story. I'm waiting...
Make it fast lol!
The story is coming ! And for the imagination, I have to admit that I had a lots of models when creating the drawing ^^
It still requires a hugely talented imagination to filter out what is not needed and allow in what is needed. Then imagine the light and shadow. Then imagine the colors. I'm exhausted already!
That's cool!
What are those models? Of course not those beautiful models lol!
Drawing models I guess.
Beautiful! Love the step by step presentation. Looks like an old house in Slovakia! 😊
Thanks ! ^^ It's not Slovakia, actually, you will see if you follow the story...
I know it's not :) It just looks like old houses there :) We have open - air museums and interior of the house that you painted looks similar :)
EDIT: Congratulations on the curie vote!
I love it! Very wonderful wooden colors which you used in this picture :-) 👌😀 also great to see the process how you painted it - step for step👍
have you already selected a nice frame for the picture?
Ha ha, no frame yet ! Thank you !
Hey @djacbaweur, thank you for sharing such nice, detailed work. I love the wood texture, you are right with black ink it looks like the natural cracks and spaces. I bet it took you so time to finish the details, I wonder how big the format of paper you used, the bigger one is easier to do the details, I love hte clor combination and you started with pale and went into more deep, concentrated one. Only I could not find is it water color you used? I assume it is but just wanted to clarify. Congratulation for such compoud and expressive artwork, really inviting, I wonder what is on the attic :)
Cheers, from Art-supporting blog @art-venture
Thanks for the compliments ! :) The paper is simply A4, and it's watercolors indeed
🎉 Congratulations @djacbaweur! 👏, your amazing Artwork has been selected to be featured in my curation post.
You did really well with the detailing, that sure is a whole lot of work. It must have been a struggle find the right colors to use but the shades definitely did work in giving life to your illustration.
Now, I want to read this story...
Not too much a struggle, in fact, just lots of attempts ^^
Well, your attempts turned out to be just awesome!
:)
good job exelente picture
Thank you !
I loved seeing your progression. Such wonderful talent. Your completed illustration is really nice.
Thanks a lot ^^
U are awesome! I imagine this in a story taken to the cinema, it is really pleasant and relaxing to appreciate. There is nothing like the concept of The House, a place so ours and so beautiful, it is like poetry, sometimes you understand it, other times you don't. I think it's really pleasant and relaxing to appreciate. Greetings and I wish you the best.
Thanks ! In fact, the cinema is a little bit the idea, since illustrations are there to tell a story ! ^^
@djacbaweur Wonderful work of art in illustration of the interior of an adorable and beautiful old house. It's amazing how you added each element to give great content to your story inside the house. It's amazing to see your ideas realized in detail in the illustration where you add important elements to the interior of the house. You are very creative. Wonderful the result achieved an illustration. Congratulations.
Wow, what great compliments ! ^^
Awwweee what a very cozy and rusty looking house! I surely would go in there and just try to live and do stuff, well.. Except if there is no air conditioner x_x and Wi-Fi...
But dang the amount of detail on the furniture and how warm it is feels so <3 I could imagine the main character just relax on the house
Me too, I would like to live there actually ! ^^ but in fact the main charachter won't be relaxing for very long...

“I have never seen anything like this before. Wonderful.”
thank you ! ^^
Thank you for showing this cool progression. The colors really help to draw in the eye. This looks like such a cozy place I would love to settle into.
I cannot do any type of drawing or painting like this at all, but I really love this type of post.
You say you can't, but did you ever really try ? ^^
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful work of yours @djacbaweur. I agreed with you, in order to have such a nice and detailed piece of work it required a lot of works. You have shown the steps how you completed this art by showing pictures without many words. Which is very good way of present your art. Based on the pictures, it told a thousand words on how detailed and complicated drawing. I love how you shade the brown color. It is so nice and you can collect it as a story book with your suspicious story. I too curious with your story by the way ;)
Thanks a lot for all the compliments, it's really appreciated ! ^^
This style reminds me of the children's books I used to read when I was a kid. I do recall commenting about your talent befitting of a children's book illustrator before. Glad you keep posting quality content up to now :D
And I will try to do my best to continue ! ^^

Upped and Steemed
Thanks a lot ! :)
You've done a great drawing. It is a very good art. Your art's hands are very beautiful. Outstanding creativity. Good work.. Carry on.
Thank you !
You are welcome.
howdy from Texas djacbaweur! wow I really love this painting because I'm a lover of rustic, old fashioned and wood things. You obviously have some experience with this type of home or cabin with the extraordinary details such as the stove and what's that hanging in the kitchen?
Those remind me of tobacco leaves. The way you broke down the drawing process is wonderful! When will the story come out?
Thanks from Paris @janton ! I try to bring the story as soon as possible !
Wonderful! Love seeing step by step work , and you've got a killer control of watercolor! :) (only critique: and this is nitpicky, so just chalk it up to opinion... the upper portion of the work could go a BIT darker in value, to pull the eye to the center of interest... but, as I said, really just nitpicking!_
I absolutely agree with you for the darker value, but at some point when you add too much layers of color with watercolors, you just remove the previous color and you can't go darker (it depends on the paper you use). So I had to stop at this point this time ! ^^
I'm ready to move in !! Beautiful presentation. Is your story going to be published in a paper book or ebook?
I would love to one day, but I really don't know yet ! Thanks ! ^^
Very great, I love all the details!
Thank you !
That is simply awesome work, I love the step by steps. There is a ton of detail in that picture, even down to the bright spot on the floor from the window, and even the small shelves under the ladder. Those are the kind of things that make a drawing come to life.
Have a bless day
It's great to see that the hard work for these details was not for nothing :D
lol, but it's not really about this drawing, it's more about the book. Do you write with the same level of detail?
Oo the cabin house is so pretty @djacbaweur. Thank you so much for giving us a step-by-step tutorial. I love the wood details and the kitchen and the living room are so cosy. I like the stairs in there too. Where do you find your inspiration?
I found several pictures of such interior, to see how is made a table, a shelf, and so on... and put all of that in the same image ^^
Ah nice.. It is brilliant how you put all of that into a single image because they all work very well together. I've always liked movies that has a cabin house and yours depict one very well. Thank you for sharing. Have a lovely weekend there @djacbaweur!
