RE: Another frustrating "lost" dream last night

in #dreamslast month

Many years ago I briefly lived in Chicago and had the time to figure out the "L" . It was daunting trying to figure out all the express trains and regular ones and getting on the wrong one meant that the train was going to simply cruise right past your stop. The cool thing about the mass transit back in those days of yore was the fact that it didn't matter how far you were going, 1 stop or 25, the cost was $1 to ride the train.

That is pretty cool. I remember I was trying to get a three day pass or something like that and I put a $20 in the machine and I couldn't get it to do anything. Of course there was no one around to help either. Now with Uber and things like that it is less of a big deal. I still like the atmosphere of riding public transit sometimes though.

I've been hearing some scary stories about the subways in USA being very dangerous places these days though. I can't really trust the news though because they always make everything seem a lot more dramatic than it actually is.

There have definitely been more random acts of violence it seems. I think a lot of it just boils down to minding your own business, but who really knows.
