The Quadcopter

in #drone18 days ago

And it's the weekend!

We have been concerned about a drone hovering around our area for a few months now. Two days ago, while we were outside, it paused for about 30 meters above our heads, as if the pilot or operator were trying to tease us.

"Do you think it recorded us?" I asked the hubby.

"Maybe," he replied.

He was the first to notice it sometime in March. He thought the drone's battery must be so good that it could fly for hours. Then he realized they must be changing it, then flying it again. Since then, I have always been on alert whenever I hear its buzzing sound and would observe what it does. It always passes by above our yard.

"I wonder if the local government is aware of that thing. It seems like it is surveying on something." I continued.

"We should try to inquire about it. I forgot to ask the town's men last week," the hubby stated. A few local officers came to check on the property boundaries as the neighboring farm was trying to register its land.

Anyway, I was so shocked the other day that I only thought about taking a photo when the quadcopter was already away from us. It was carrying something that we thought it would drop at some point, but it still flew around with it.

We think the drone was onto something. If it were just a hobby for the operator, it wouldn't be taking the same route, many times a day, a couple of times in a week (month).

We suspect the mining firm, which has been doing some drilling operations in this townlet for years, until the local people strongly condemned it and openly voiced their refusal for the operation to continue, imposing a curfew and installing a gate at the street entrance. The firm's application for permit extension (renewal) was put on hold, as far as we know.

But yeah, it is quite unsettling to have something like that hover above the property. I feel invaded. Or maybe I'm just a bit paranoid, lol!

Parang katakot nga sis. Parang may banta SA katahimikan nyo dyan. Sana malaman agad Kung ano Yang drone na Yan.😑

Wala naman sana. Dumating ulit kahapon and nagpause ulit kaya muntik-muntikan kong bigyan ng middle finger, pero nagtimpi lang ako.

That view looks so scary actually

It's disturbing, especially that it keeps coming around.

Sending you some Ecency curation votes!

Gracias 😍

It has been 26 days since your last reply to any of my comments !INDEED. 🤔 I !HOPE that you are not too busy in real life! 🤗 !PIXY !WEIRD

What if someone wants to do the robbery that's why they r keeping an eye at your schedule, damn it's so scary. I would throw my sandals or rocks at it lol.

It came around 11 am again today, and did the same thing, I almost gave it the obscene hand gesture🤣

lol you're too patient 😅

A few months seems to be a long enough time for anything bad though, but let's !HOPE for nothing wrong to happen sooner or later !INDEED. 🤓

I hope it doesn't turn out something bad

That drone coming (almost) every single day on that same location makes it seem that its operator is so persistent with something in the area !INDEED. 🤯😅

That's a good point lol

I wonder if there is some way to discourage that drone's operator from flying that drone over the same area repeatedly without being offensive though. 🤯😅

Thieves use drones to do a zone check before going in action but if it's going on for months it's not a thief... If it flies over your property you could have the right to take it down though, inform and in case shot it, they will think twice then

Yes, I doubt its purpose is to steal. It's annoying to the point I wanted to give it the FU sign when it came again at 11 this morning.

That sign you would show might get recorded by that drone !INDEED though. 🤯 !WEIRD !HOPE !PIXY
