And for my fourth and final entry... in the Metapop & Native Instruments' Sketches competition...
► Listen to Rok Sivante's Native Skteches #004 on DSound
Another one on the ethereal side of things, this started messing around with the Asian string sample over one of the kicks from the pack, evolving into a lovely progressive instrumental with a psychedelic tinge, the eastern vibe deepened with the Balinese Gamelan Kontakt pack - the ancient elements balanced out with a slightly futuristic feel, compliments of a staccato synth lead and lush, swelling saw pad in parts.
Probably spent TOO long in the details of this one (for a "sketch"), though we shall see what is yet to come with it down the road, as the right vocalist could turn this into quite the gem.
Without further ado, may you ENJOY as this soundtrack transports you across dimensions...

The entire atmosphere being created in this sketch, especially starting from 0:50 with the 'wave-swipe sound', just send me down the daydreaming lane, making me think how exciting it has to be to spend an entire lifetime or even lifetimes exclusively on a gigantuous spaceship, reconnoitering galaxies and their planets, harvest data as to anomalies, culture, lifestyle of beings and entities living there. Of course there would be entire schools on the spaceship, and by means of small exploration space ships integrated into the "master spaceship" school classes partake in practical trips to other planets to get the direct experience of their theoretical musings learnt onboard.
The "click" sound with the consequent signal noise in 1:34 then sounds like having landed on the planet, with the spaceship's gates opening and the pupils marvelling at the planet's unknown mysteries waiting to be uncovered!
Very cool! :)
he he. I wanna just keep banging out more and more so can keep reading these types of feedback from you. ☺️💖
Haha, we can all do that! I am just describing which chords your Soul music strikes and inspires within me !
perhaps. though you're the only so far that does... :-)
After watching this soulful picture and also which have ancient essence, wanted to listen the music on dsound but failed to load due to low Internet connection, but i will try to listen once connection is fine, but through your words and through this ancient structure i can feel that the music is flowing like water fall and it's have all the inputs of the natural creativity. As i said in previous comments music which have ancient essence can give the healing effect, and whenever i feel depress, i always go to YouTube and explore the music of nature and then i deep dive into it then i will leave upon my body how it will flow on that music, and once music and natural dancing becomes an combination then an energy creates i know it because i can feel it in moves. Thanks for sharing this post with us and wishing you an great day. Stay blessed. 🙂
you could also try listen here on Metapop...
Thanks for the kind reference, i will definitely try it. 🙂
I heard more to the beautiful sound of Balinese gamelan, the rhythmic tone that sways as if it has a story with a sweeping beat and the sound of passage like the sound of a lute but I am uncertain for this instrument used.
music full of futuristic nuances of course.
Good luck
t'is a "koto" sample.
yes, the sound is almost the same as the harp from china in my opinion, and this has given me information about koto.
Thank you Sir @rok-sivante
I'm easier to play it through Metapop platform.I think the fourth part is lighter and very cool to enjoy it.tonight I'm going to sleep soundly.it seemed to take me to the land of cherry.I was caught with the red leaves and the beautiful female ladies.wandering around a lonely forest where I enjoyed the beauty of the lake.i enjoy this.this is more comfortable to hear.I do not really understand about music let alone play the tool.but, I really like his voice.
Sir, I've been waiting for your post about metaphysics.I think if you have given an explanation through this music not through writing.Your Metaphysics writing, you present through music. It tells the story of how music is capable of providing value, energy, and spiritual levels.
@ponpase | From Indonesia
I really like to hear this music friend, this is almost the same as the type of music from Borneo region that has the hallmark of his music bring more natural atmosphere.
very suitable to be relaxing music
I've listened to him @rok-sivante. I think you really master it, really my beautiful tone to be carried away by the music. I do not understand about musical instruments, so I have to ask you, do you play with the piano or any other kind of mr @rok-sivante?
I like most at minute 1:20 and up. feels peaceful when listening. you are very good at playing it. thank you for listening to us.
best regards.
Yes.
Yes mr @rok-sivante.
Thanks you.
Thank you very much for your sharing sir @rok-sivante, success always for you
Love the sketch, so arty, still waiting for dsound to load. :p
rgghh, dSound definitely isn't the best, technical-wise.
might be a browser issue.
or if still waiting, can just listen right on the contest entry page here...
Arts at it best, I kind of like the sound much effort has been putted into the production. Great job @rok-sivante best of regards
This is another nice one here.
Great work @rok-sivante
You do realise that you are breaking the rules of the contest by uploading this here? You are now infringing the copyright of the rightsholders
Did you know:
Contest rules said couldn't post anything on SOUNDCLOUD. didn't say anything about anywhere else.
everything from the packs is NI content sourced from the Komplete 11 Ultimate package, which I've purchased - thus have the rights to use in any productions I post publicly.
The content might be sourced from komplete and or NI samplepacks, but the compositions (stems) aint. If what you are saying would be valid, you could legally sample JMJ latest album, because he’s using komplete 11 ... furthermore, i Recently downloaded one of the recent NI contest packs, noticed the rules, says stems are not allowed to use ... and don’t think i say this to bully you, because actually i really don’t care, but i would not want you to get into trouble because of this. That’s also why i gave you my heads up. And i wish you All the succes in the contest and with your musical endeavors.
Thanks for the clarification, I appreciate it, as was coming across the wrong way without.
As we both know, all these copyright laws are about due for an upgrade, and surely there are lots of producers entering these contests anyways posting their stuff elsewhere. I do confess I’ve uploaded remixes before that aren’t cleared, but whatever.
Hoping to see leaps made with what Dubset/Mixbank is doing - that’d open up a lot of doors and opportunities for both producers and labels in regards to these remix matters...
Your right, Those laws need an update, they are much to old for these times, and the ways music is created these days. And i guess we all uploaded some things that are not really cleared. As long as you created it yourself, there’s not much wrong with it in my opinion. I’m looking forward to new initiatives on the blockchain for music. ‘Regular’ streaming services are leeching on creators with their payouts. And some underground labels don’t even earn enough to give a decent payput to the artists. So, i really hope there will be a change.
Here a couple pieces I wrote a while back that overview some projects that might be of interest to you:
Music On The Blockchain: Updates, Developments, And The Blossoming Ecosystem...
Music On The Blockchain: An Overview Of The Leading Developments Transforming The Industry
There are definitely others that’ve popped up since, though a few of these still appear to be leading the way...
Thanks, i really appreciate this
hi @rok-sivante, really best entry for this contest, my best wishes for you. but very sorry to say i did not like dsound.
Finally and you get it very well through this very jolting music and merging club.
Wooww ... hopefully you got an award from it in the #native-sketche contest I really enjoy this last song even though it has to open it via #twitter and from here I get it in every rhythm of this music,
which makes me as if be at home, hopefully you can come out as the best among the best
Gamelan punch rhythm is very cool, hopefully if there is time you can also go to Aceh Indonesia to listen to Rapai punch. Rapai is typical Aceh music.
dok duk tow,, duk duk tow... hard instrumental ,, good job @rok-sivante ..
Balinese gamelan that I listen to is very beautiful and comfortable, this is a religious music that blends with the soul of a gentle Balinese society. gamelan tones that sound like waves that rise and fall echo and blend with nature, the sound of lute adds a typical ritmik gentle menghetak. This is a typical music, I think it can be used for full and futuristic music.
Good luck
Reading through the comments, I see the number commenter has broken it down and I just don’t know what to say but tell you to keep inspiring. This took me on an imaginative journey into a world all created by the sound. This is soothing to the mind I must say
The good sound
Oh here, sadly not an original though. Looking forward to one of your originals one day.
Cheers
@greencross
edit: found originals n your DSound but won't play no more. Will keep my ears open.
This is an original.
Was for a “remix” contest - though only used sound samples in this, no loops.
Can listen to the entry hereif couldn’t access from dSound...
Listening now to this piece, sounds amazing and pretty much finished to me. Would be great to hear the finished version with vocals if you ever find her :) (that's my piece of feedback by the way, I think would fit a female vocalist).
I'm stoked by the chilled vibe. Will be following on your soundcloud link you left on the other comment.
Cheers
