Track 6 from my 2019 album ARIA. "Ascension" mixes 80s-style AOR/glam metal with RPG-soundtrack inspiration which always reminds me of a "world map" theme in an RPG (most specifically the intro to the song with the lead guitar).
DESCRIPTION OF THE ALBUM "ARIA":
I wrote this album with the idea of a rock/metal album feeling like the experience felt when playing through an epic Japanese-style RPG like Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger. Each song can stand alone, but as a whole they represent the progression from beginning to end. As a concept album, there is a story, but I've made it intentionally a little vague so that the listener can also apply each song in his or her own way.
