I'm also on YouTube and my approach for Steemit originally was "I'm already doing videos for YouTube, I'll just upload those same videos to Steemit". Which like you said, is the wrong approach (for me, at least). The audience and the atmosphere in both places are sooooo different and require different content. I do movie reviews, so for the most part the meat of the video is the same (because I feel the way I feel about the movie whether it's for YT or Steemit lol), but I'll do different intros and outros. I also create content for Steemit that I don't post on YouTube (and I have A LOT of fun doing it)!
