Wait....What....Whoa...

It’s that time again my Food Slingin’ Friends. It’s time to yet another Food Fight Friday!! What are we on week 32 or something? I lost count after 10 because I didn’t want to take my shoes off to keep counting.

I hope everyone has had a fantastic week and your contenders are “whipped” into shape and Steemed just right for the competition... competition??...Ya I’m goin to be needing some of that, the one-two punch of this duo will send you head over heels right out of your high chair. Come on over to the Splatts house and join me as I cook a 10 pound Pork Shoulder which will be shredded into Pulled Pork Sandwiches for dinner. I will be cooking this slab of meat on my Green Mountain Pellet Grill for that delicious Smokey flavor.

  • Season the Pork Shoulder with dry seasonings of your choice, wrap with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator over night
  • Heat BBQ to 380 F and place Pork Shoulder fat side down, cook for 1/2 hour
  • After 1/2 hour flip (fat side up) and cook for another 1/2 hour
  • Reduce temp to 235 F and continue to cook for approx 2-3 hours spraying occasionally with a juice mixture of your choice
  • Wrap with Foil or Butcher Paper and continue to cook for an additional 2-3 hours flipping every hour
  • Cook Until and internal temp of 195 F
  • Remove from Grill and place inside a pot with a lid and place in the oven until you are ready to feast

This Pulled Pork Recipe has proven itself time and time again. I really believe the key it getting it wrapped and keeping those juices locked inside. What I really like about this meal is that there are a ton of leftovers. Currently having 8 people in the Splatts, there was still a ton of leftover meat to make sandwiches for a couple days. Even some Pulled Pork Nachos if you can handle that.

Just because that Pork Shoulder is cooking doesn’t mean there is time to just sit around, no way!! With 8 mouths to feed at the Splatts house I gotta double up the size of my typical Breakfast Scramber. 2 pans loaded with Bacon, Potatoe, Onions, and Eggs...don’t forget the Cheese on top:wink:wink

I wish, My apple trees haven't started producing fruit yet. Shoot it has been almost 6 years since we planted them as seeds. Honestly I think I leave them outside and after a couple days mama splatts just tosses them out. Hey...that is a whole $1 you just tossed out!!

yes it was!! I cooked this last weekend and couldn't help but pick up another Pork Shoulder when I was at the store today. This has to be one of my cheapest and most favorite meals.

Too bad @jlsplatts 😢😢😢 I will never ever know what's your bbq taste like ... I can't eat pork😊 but I bet it must be really delicious so you have to double it up😀.. Good Job Contender😉

Just wait until Summer time rolls around. I am going to be BBQin' up more than just pork. I am just getting prepped up for when that grill will be running everyday. Speaking of that I gotta throw some meat on right now!! YIKES!!

😂😂😂 you are all really need meat in the cold weather😉 your post remind me to our celebration holidays in my hometown wherevand when you'll get sick and tired of beef anywhere around😂 after a week of eating meat wherever you go.. to have a plate of grilled fish sound like heaven😆 at that time.

Right on Homie Thanks!! Every now and again I get that nice hit from d.tube to boost the confidence. lol Ya man, double what I am used to. ^ months and things are really starting to look better for them. If we have, we should give. They will be up and running in no time. Living that life that God has for them.

Dang! That tool is so cool that you used to shred the meat. It’s like a wolverine claw. I’m not even a meat eater but this looks pretty bomb. I appreciate your commitment to a bomb Sammie. I hate having to run to the store in the middle of a meal too. But the results turned out spot on… great post Splatts.

My brother was the one that showed those bear claws to me. 10 pounds of meat shredded in a matter of seconds. This was just the start of what is to come this summer. My Grill is going to be going every night pretty soon...well once this snow decides to go away.
