While I agree with a LOT of the article, the author has no idea of military capabilities of the US. He's worried about Korean subs popping off missiles at the US. If a conflict starts and I agree that is where we are headed, the US subs will sink these guys as part of the kickoff. These 1950-60's era subs are no match for the most technologically advanced boats on the planet. The Korean subs with their thin hull shells and archaic engines can't hide from our boats. It would be like a small town high school marching band walking down main street thinking the towns people won't hear them playing the school fight song.

No doubt that US troop casualties will be high. I was in the infantry but never served in Korea. But I knew a lot of soldiers who did and they believed that if war ever started, most of them would die. Korea has at least 1 million foot soldiers to throw across that border in an attempt to overtake Seoul. These US infantry guys I served with believed that most the US forces across the border would die in the initial artillery strike as the North has way more artillery than the south.

Those US casualties alone will end the presidency of Trump and he will probably be impeached.

Here is the deal. We are just witnessing what history has witnessed time and time again over 5000 years of recorded human history. The fall of yet another empire.
