Compost is a natural material produced from waste, which is very useful in planting and especially in gardening, resulting in beautiful plants, with rapid growth and very easy to use. The advantage is that each person can even prepare it at home if they wish and it is a saving because they would not have to buy it.
People who are passionate about everything related to planting, orchards, and maintaining the care of their plants, take care not to throw away a lot of vegetable waste, usually their shell or cover, as well as the eggshell, and set them aside to process it as fertilizer. It is a natural, non-polluting process and of course it is an option or alternative that is in fact widely used today by many; however, for large crops there are companies dedicated to its manufacture and sale.
The truth is that what was once just garbage is being reused more and more, times have changed and as long as all these benefits are taken advantage of, they are also protecting the earth. But since not all of them are dedicated to this, they probably don't even realize that when they throw away certain things, particularly in the kitchen, they are losing the opportunity to have their own compost.
As I eventually needed, for a school project or a plant at home that needs to be transplanted, I buy it in small bags that are sold in nurseries, since they come in different sizes.
