NORTH DIRECTION :
The North Direction embodies the medicine of the HUMMING BIRD or the OWL. It is the direction of the Night, of the winter.
It connects us with the ancestral realm, and the future children to be. It is the direction where we connect to our spirit guides and ancestors, to teach us Wisdom and Sacred Knowledge.
North relates to Earth element, to the lineages that made our material life possible, our ancestors.
This is the journey of Sacred Rituals, slowing down to go deeper and renew our life. Working with North Direction purifies us, through the ancient wisdom that lays within us.
When things get hard in life, our elders and ancestors can support us. As they have been where we are already, and they went through it. The North teaches patience and trust. It is the gateway to our Inner Knowledge.
In the angelic realms, it connects to archangel Uriel (or Auriel), the keeper of Sacred teachings.
The gemstones associated are : Dark crystals; geometrically shaped stones; ores; earthy rocks; onyx; jasper; aventurine; green jade; black jade; deep violet fluorite; royal azulite; marble; amethyst.
It relates to birth and death, and to Midnight. It is the Winter energy, and connects to green color, as it brings new growth and healing.

This is beautiful, Demian. The hummingbirds here in Thailand are TINY and not as prettily coloured as the one in your pic, but I love and am fascinated by them anyway. Feeling enriched for having had my head balanced by this ancient wisdom today.
