¿Cómo se leen las resistencias SMD? // How do you read SMD resistors?

in #electronics7 months ago

04E = 1070000 Ω ± 1%
33H = 2150 Ω ± 1%
01A = 100 Ω ± 1%
84Z = 0.732 Ω ± 1%
38C = 24300 Ω ± 1%
92Z = 0.887 Ω ± 1%

18D = 150000 Ω ± 1%

W= Ancho
H = Alto

.......................................................................................................

SMD resistors can have 3 or 4 digits. Let's see how their value is read.
Also if they have numbers and letters (which is a little more complicated)

The acronym SMD refers to Surface Mounted Device, which in English means surface mounting device and refers to both a form of encapsulation of electronic components and equipment built from these components.

We have 3 digit SMD resistors, the tolerance in this coding is 5%
The 4-digit SMD resistor (precision values less than 100 ohms) has a tolerance of 1% and the letter R is used to represent the comma.

It may also be that the third digit (multiplier) is a letter, called EIA-96 encoding
tolerance is generally 1%

Some examples with 3rd digit with letter:
04E = 1070000Ω ± 1%
33H = 2150Ω ± 1%
01A = 100Ω ± 1%
84Z = 0.732Ω ± 1%
38C = 24300Ω ± 1%
92Z = 0.887Ω ± 1%

18D = 150000Ω ± 1%
Note: It is always advisable to measure the resistance with a tester to check its value.

And finally, the last piece of information about these resistors is the power they can dissipate, which obviously has to do with the size of the R.
The following table gives us an approximation of the values and the different types of resistances by code 0201,0402,0603,0805,1206,1210,2010,2512

L= Length
W= Width
H = High
