Engage Community Manager - New bookmarks and other features

Engage is a constantly evolving product. As I eat my own dog food, which means that I personally use this application almost every day, I can quickly see what are the missing features.

Introducing Bookmarks

When manage my comments, mentions or feeds, I sometimes want to defer my response to some of them. The problem is that they stay a bit in the way which can sometimes be cumbersome.

To remedy this, you can now bookmark a post or comment by clicking on the bookmark symbol.

This will remove it from the current inbox

All your bookmarked posts or comments will now be found in the "Bookmarks" inbox.

If you want the post or comment to return to its original inbox, click on the bookmark symbol to remove it from the "Bookmarks" inbox.

A bookmarked item will stay in the "Bookmarks" inbox as long as you do not reply or vote it. It is not subject to removal after 7 days, except if it is more than 7 days old and you remove the bookmark. In this case, it will not appear in any other inbox.

Other new features and changes

Ecency support

The @ecency front-end, developed by @good-karma, is now supported. You just need to go to settings and set it as your favorite user Hive client.

No Autofocus on mobile

When using Engage on mobile, the previous version used to automatically set the focus to the reply field. This leads to the appearance of the input keyboard, which obviously occupies a large part of the screen. A bit annoying.

Engage will now detect if it is running on mobile in order to suppress this behavior.

Minor bug fixes

• When the current inbox is your "Feed" and you go to your settings to disable "Display Feed", the app will switch back to the "Comments" inbox.
• The Feed is now limited to 200 messages in order to avoid a too long loading time which gives the impression that the application no longer works.
