Things you did not know about: Friends

Hello Steemians.

Today I want to share with you 10 things that maybe you did not know about the popular series: Friends.

  1. A few minutes to wish you luck: Always, before starting to record each chapter, the cast reserved a few minutes to wish each other luck.

  2. The writers used a pie chart to keep track of how many phrases and jokes each character said, to make sure each actor had the same amount.

  3. An all too young cast: Initially, NBC thought the cast was too young. So he asked the writers to include an older character who gave advice to young people in their twenties.

  4. Three cast members of "The Simpsons" appeared as guests on Friends: Dan Castellaneta (Homer), Hank Azaria (Moe / Apu, etc.) and Harry Shearer (Lord Burns / Smithers, etc.)

  5. Bruce Willis appeared on the show for free after losing a bet with Matthew Perry that if "False Appearances" would be number one at the box office on his first weekend. He donated his fees for charity.

  6. Monica's apartment changed from number 5 to 20 when the writers of the program realized that "5" would not indicate an apartment on a higher level of a building. To make them match, Chandler's number also changed from 4 to 19.

  7. All 6 main characters kissed at some point (if you include the alternative episodes "what would happen if?"), Except Monica and Phoebe.

  8. When the last season ended, each cast member received a piece of the outer sidewalk from Central Perk as a souvenir.

  9. It was rumored that the actors had signed an agreement not to sleep together. In 1997, Elle, in a report on Cox, brought up the subject of "a recent rumor that argued that the actors had signed some kind of deal compromising not to sleep together."

  10. First salary per episode: In the first season, each of the 6 main members of the cast received $ 22,000 per episode. It was in 1997 when the protagonists joined to negotiate a salary increase to 100,000 per episode. It was the first time in the history of television that members of a cast have done this. In its last season, each actor received a million dollars per episode.

I hope you liked my publication and that in my next post we know things you did not know about other topics.

Greetings.
