RE: Offline

As much as I wish this was sustainable, I don't see a reason or a way for SBDs to stay as high as they are. The way they are created is supposed to drag them back down to their peg.

But let's see when and if this happens. It's certainly a good time to be a steemian, but I'm afraid that the crypto world has started smelling like tulips to me.

Still, I'm obviously all powered up and whatever SBDs I get are going to be converted to STEEM because that's what I'm being on long-term.

There are plenty of reasons why cryptos have value: media, hype, sentimentality, dependency, usability.. etc. etc. I guess with something like Steem Power, it's a functional asset that drives your experience on the network..

And tulips are very different things..

Tulips did have some real utility too and things get dangerous when the percieved value really exceeds the level of utility. I'm worried that SBDs are there and that's why I see this as unsustainable, but I'll be very happy if my worries turn out to be nothing.
