Oddly enough the TRON mainnet launched and there wasn't a lot of reporting on it and it has almost gone unnoticed. I figured we would get a pump on the price but we actually saw a drop. The ERC-20 TRX will be swapped out for mainnet coins toward the end of June but there are transactions occurring on the mainnet currently. The EOS mainnet is still in the process of being launched. Let's dive a little deeper into each.
TRON
For starters TRON scan is having a hard time syncing right now and displaying the data that has happened in the last 4 days. If you look at a lot of the old transactions you can see there are mainnet TRON being transferred but I don't know how the coins were originated. Possibly those are rewards given to the Super Representatives for processing blocks. The Super Representatives are like Witnesses on the STEEM blockchain and like Block Producers on EOS.

Ultimately right now it is unclear how to really connect to TRON network and start registering usernames or anything like that. There is all this talk of voting for the Super Representatives but I don't know how anyone would be able to really vote. If you look at a lot of the vote percentages they are right around the same. Like 3.23% which tells me that the TRON founders are voting for the others to get things rolling and since people who have the ERC-20 TRX tokens won't be able to convert until June 21st.
Thoughts on TRON
Well the fact that they launched the mainnet and they have actually been getting stuff done is a positive for sure. That is why I took a small position a couple of weeks ago. Just incase it would go parabolic and all the teenie bopper TRON lovers would blow their milk money and hype it out of this world again. Hehehehe I have to give some credit to the TRON team for seemingly getting something out there but I sort of expected to see a command line wallet or something so we could start interacting with it.
It is just really confusing to me exactly who is running the Super Delegate nodes and how the original TRX is flowing around.
I'm going to keep my eye on the situation throughout this month and hopefully I can figure some stuff out with it because it might end up being something.
EOS
The EOS situation is almost just as confusing as the TRON situation right now in my opinion. The main thing that is going to on right now is that it is being verified if the people who registered their EOS tokens have been allotted an equivalent amount of EOS mainnet coins. This process is taking longer than I expected. We are at 82 hours after the initial launch at this point and still waiting for the next step which will be people starting to do conversions and attempting to vote for the Block Producers.
There have been 256,540 Blocks produced so far so it is running but in a lot of ways we have a lack of tools and also no one should really try to move their ERC-20 EOS tokens until after the step in the process is done.
I'm slightly confused about the best route to interact with the current chain that is running simply because there is this whole thing about 15% of the EOS out there has to go to vote on the Block Producers to keep the chain going and make it valid.
What I'm going to try to do is use eosjs to attempt to connect to the current chain and try to register some usernames. I'm not sure if it cost a negligible amount of EOS to do it which I wouldn't have any and there would be no way to get any on there from my understanding until this validation part is done. After that I might be able to get my EOS in there.

I'm not afraid to say that I'm confused by the situation. This is sort of our first rodeo with this type of launch so I think a lot of people are kind of sitting around and waiting.
Thoughts on EOS
Everything is mainly going as planned from what it seems and blocks are being produced but this phase of the process is actually taking longer than I initially thought. Also a lot of us are going to be hesitant to jump the gun too fast on trying to interact with our EOS coins because there aren't a lot of wallet options out there.
Another thing I might try is actually install the mainnet software on my VPS and then instead of running nodeos locally I will reference a bunch of the other block producers and see if I can interact with the blockchain that way.
One more thing I want to mention about EOS is that I'm really surprised by the level of commitment the Block Producer candidates are showing. Entire teams, websites relating to the teams and their credentials and the whole nine yards. I honestly figured that some of the people who are witnesses for BitShares and STEEM would just sort of be able to work their way in there by default but it isn't really looking that way. Time will tell.
Conclusion
The one mistake I made was I should have sent 5 or 10 EOS over to a MyEthereumWallet and registered that address as well so that when I go through the process at first I would use it as a test and then do my wallet with a larger value in it.
The next few days should be interesting with EOS and the next couple of weeks could be pretty interesting with what happens with TRON.
Has anyone tried to connect to the EOS mainnet?
Here was my last video about EOS development.

Thank you for reading my post and please consider following me @brianphobos
Yeah I've been wondering why the EOS main net launch just keeps saying that it is in progress. I was an idiot and forgot to register my EOS, so they are sitting on Binance and I just hope I get real EOS one day :( I also took a little position in TRON but didn't register those either, or even know if I can or should? Man I am not good at this crypto stuff when it goes beyond just one token on one blockchain...
Binance will register them for you , The same with tron , Binance has agreed to register them as well.. So as long as you leave tron on binance and dont move it to a wallet youwilll get your true trx after june 21st from binance .. EOS will be changed over for you by binance after mainnet is up and running securely
@brianphobos I am just watching from the sidelines and I rely on good people like yourself to write high quality posts so that us regular people can get to understand a little bit on whats going on............
Well I'm even confused so it is somewhat of a waiting game for me as well at the moment.
Thanks man for the info. and heads up on what's going on with EOS. Iam still looking to get in but maybe waiting right now is the best opton ??
Yeah it is hard telling at this point. I feel like the price will spike hard when the mainnet is finally up but who knows.
Cool, thanks for sharing.
Good post @brianphobos, currently the BPCs are auditing the code for security, the EOS mainnet should go live very soon. Greetings from #EOSVenezuela
