The smallest inhabited island in the world known to people this time, only has the size of a tennis court. Though its size is 3,300 square feet (306.58 square meters), the island has enough space for a small house, a pair of lounger and a tree.

The island, known as Hub Island, is located in the waters of Alexandria Bay, New York State. The island was purchased by a wealthy family from Sizeland in 1950.

The plan to build a small hut as a family vacation spot was canceled, because of the large number of tourists who want to see their small hut. However, visitors can only see the house, because the water around the island is deep enough, can not be used to swim with the family.

According to scientists, the island can not be labeled as an actual island. Hub Island is one of 1,864 land that soars to the water surface of St. Lawrence separates New York from Ontario, Canada.

However, Hub Island was awarded by the Guinness Book of World Records as the smallest inhabited island in the world.

Currently, the island is rarely visited by its owner, so it looks less manicured.
