না জেনে ভালোবাসতে গেলে
বুঝি এভাবে হারাতে হয়,
না বুঝে হাত বাড়ালে-
বুঝি শূণ্যতা জড়িয়ে নেয়!
তোমার অনুভূতির আকাশে
উড়তে চাওয়া কি অপরাধ ছিলো?
তোমার অনন্ত গভীরতায়-
ডুবতে চাওয়া কি পাপ ছিলো?
সব কথার গভীরতা আছে-
একান্ত আলাপ শুধু অবকাশ নয়;

নীরবতা কাম্য নয়, উত্তর চাই!
লাল গোলাপ বাড়িয়েছিলাম
শুধু কাঁটা বিঁধলো বিশ্বাসে,
সহস্রজনম পেরিয়ে গেলেও প্রিয়-
তুমি রবে অনুভবে- নিঃশ্বাসে।
তাহলে কেনো এতো এতো
ব্যাথা এসে জমা হয় বুকে,-
নাকি কারো চোখের জলে
ইচ্ছে করেই ভাসতে থাকো সুখে?
আজ আমার হৃদয়ের নিভৃতে
শুধু তোমার নামের অক্ষর;
নিঃশব্দে এলে, আর নীরবে হারালে,
রেখে গেলে শুধু- নির্জন স্বাক্ষর।
