Crypto Exchange Huobi Is Expanding To Africa

Singapore-based crypto-exchange, Huobi, is currently the fourth largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by monthly volume, providing services to more than a million users in over 130 countries. Huobi's main competitors such as Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange is expanding its services across the world and of late launching in Uganda.

Huobi's expansion drive to Africa will start by launching a subsidiary called Huobi Mena in Dubai. This new center will operate as the regional headquarters to facilitate the exchange's expansion drive to Africa, the Middle East and South Asia according to its media statement.

According to Houbi Mena co-founder Mohit Davar, the blockchain ecosystem will provide services for both institutional and retail crypto investors. He added that they will also cater for promising blockchain startups looking to raise research and development funds in Africa and other regions.

Huobi Mena services will include, OTC trading, token-to-token trading, an educational center, blockchain projects incubation and community development to provide traders will a faster, safer and more convenient trading experience.

The exchange is currently partnering with regional players to establish relationships with artificial intelligence(AI) traders. The partnership is aimed at integrating AI-based digital asset trading solutions to the exchange's regional trading platforms.

Huobi's main goal is to provide a safer and more reliable digital asset trading platform to regional users both institutional and retail in order to win crypto trading supremacy, after US-based exchanges, Gemini and Coinbase are also expanding their services to the European markets.
